Do DVCers get a discount at the VWL for the watermice/pontoons, and if so how much? Also, I'm not sure if I saw that you can get a week long pass for the watersports with unlimited use, and also how much would that be? Thanks!

Not sure about the discount question, but wanted to let you know that you can get the plan for the marina here is the info on that:

Family Plan- $239 plus tax (non-refundable) - Includes use of boats and bicycles for up to 5 Guests for 10 calendar days. This offer is valid only for registered WDW Resort Guests. Boats/bicycles are available on a first come, first serve basis. Boats/bicycles included in this offer must be rented from the Wilderness Lodge Marina only. Please call or visit the Wilderness Lodge Marina for further details. Other restrictions may apply. (Cruises and excursions are not included.)

Captain's Plan- $125 plus tax (non-refundable) - 4 hours of rentals (any combination) of boats and bicycles. This offer is available to all Guests, and boats/bicycles included in this offer must be rented for the Wilderness Lodge Marina only. Boats/bicycles are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please call or visit the Wilderness Lodge Marina for further details. Other restrictions may apply. (Cruises and excursions are not included.)

On the captain's plan is that 4 hours period or 4 hours per person in your family? We are going to be at VWL in Dec/Jan and would possibly be interested in biking some and the watermice.

yes, you get a 10% discount for boats at VWL..

NOTE: there are No More watermice at VWL... they've been replaced by Sea Raycers
(http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...id=WildernessLodgeResortRecreationListingPage)
Which are faster & smaller... and also have a 16yr old minimum age and a lower total weight limit...

The CM said watermice are still available at Yacht Club marina as well as Downtown Disney... just ask at the rental house...

The canopy boats are nice too for 2 to 8 people and you get a DVC discount... you just can't go as fast as the Sea Raycers...

This represents a significant increase in price, but is still a good deal if you are going to spend time at the lake with several people old enough to drive the boats. I'm glad to hear the boats are faster. I guess that's why it's more expensive.

You can have several boats out at one time and burn up hours very quickly.

I assume it would include the pontoon boats like it used to.

Just another reason for us to try out the VWL.
