Can anyone recommend a good waterproof phone case/bag that doesn't cost an arm and leg? Thought this would be good for water rides and if we get caught in the rain! Thanks in advance.
I was Leary about the LifeProof case because I thought I would have trouble hearing. But it works great. My kids haven't dropped my phone in the toilet since I bought it, but hopefully when they do the case will do it's job!
We used life proof cases when they first came out, but they were expensive. Then we found that cases like the one found here worked better for us when touring http://www.amazon.com/LIFETIME-WARR...9074&sr=8-8&keywords=waterproof+iphone+6+case But when we forgot these one year, we decided to try a gallon zip lock for water rides and that worked well enough that the last two trips I just carried one in my pack and made sure that everyone gave me one before that ride. When we go this summer, we'll probably just do that again. I make sure that we bring a couple, so I can inspect them for tears and replace if needed. I'm also interested in what others do when they go.
I got one from Eddie Bauer for about $8, and DD got a universal one from Amazon for under $10 - both work great. Also, we've used ziploc baggies in cases of unexpected rain downpours. I liked the Eddie Bauer one best because it has the float function air pockets - that would make the phone float to the top if it was ever dropped in a significant amount of water.
Yep. I figure it will work just as well if not better. My darling sister took her life-proofed phone on a water slide at Atlantis and let's just say she has a new phone.
I bought a waterproof case/bag that just fits an iPhone and has a neck strap. Worked great while snorkeling in Hawaii and I got amazing pics of the fish in Hanauma Bay. Worked great for water slides too.
