Waterproof camera?

Hi all,

I'm going on Podcast Cruise 5.0 (woo-hoo!), and I'm wondering if I should buy a waterproof camera. From what I understand, with the excursions I've signed up for (scuba diving, etc), I will be around water a lot. I currently have two cameras: a Nikon DSLR and a Panasonic point-and-shoot. Neither are waterproof, so I'm trying to figure out my options. As far as I can tell, there isn't a waterproof case for the Panasonic. Wise photography folks, please suggest options. TIA.

There are nice, scuba rated cases for some Panasonic PnS cameras, but the selection is better for enthuiast cameras like the LX7...but they are generally bulky and expensive if you don't plan to regularly use it.
