Sorry, I know it's been covered a ton of times, but I've gotta ask again. After years of burning feet at various water parks, I broke down & got some watershoes. IIRC, there are some rides at TL & BB that allow me to leave the shoes on, and some that will require me to take them off & hold them during the ride.

Are there any that require me to take them off & stash them somewhere before I get to the head of the line? I'd hate to get all the way to the top & realize I needed to leave the shoes behind somewhere.

My kids and I wore watershoes the first time we went to a Disney waterpark. I will not do that again. I was literally knocked out of my shoes in the Typhoon Lagoon wave pool! Also I found it to be a pain when you do have to take them off because once they and your feet are wet, they are hard to put back on. Most of the ones I've seen have an insole that is not attached (or attached well) to the inside of the shoe. If that is the case with yours, I would recommend gluing them in so they don't float away. I had to chase one of mine around that wave pool. LOL

After that we were Crocs, and they were so much easier to deal with. Whatever your personal choice, I agree with you about wearing something on your feet.

Regardless of what you wear, as I recall, you can wear them on most of the attractions. The ones we couldn't wear them on, they either threw them down before us, and we retrieved them at the bottom, or just held them against our chest while we went down.

Perfect, that'll work :)

We always wear either water shoes or flipflops. The ground gets too hot to go bare foot. We have only ever been asked to remove and hold the flipflops.....never the water shoes.

You will be asked to remove the water shoes at the big body slides at each park. Confirmed this at both Typhoon Lagoon (Humunga Cowabunga and Storm Slides) and Blizzard Beach (Slush N Gusher and Summit Plummet). I'm pretty sure that's the only four rides with that restriction and you can hold them to your chest for each one.

Blizzard Beach IMO has more sidewalk sprays and spots to cool hot feet than Typhoon Lagoon. You can survive in either park without water shoes ( alot better than you can at your local water park). But you REALLY want something to protect your feet in Typhoons wave pool. (and you might want knee and elbow pads there too, lol! road rash.........)
