Waterparks on Aug weekends?

Thinking of going to Blizzard Beach on either a Fri or Sat in late August. I'm assuming Fri would be better, as most kids will be back in school by then, and locals may come out on a Sat. I can't seem to find much good advice about the crowds for the waterparks. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It's super hot in August. I would imagine the water parks will be just as busy as usual!

If it were me, I'd go on a Friday. If school is back in session, I would think Friday morning would be the better choice.

We've gone the last week of August for the past 6 years and it seems the water parks are busy every day. My only advice, no matter what day you go, is to go at rope drop and do the big rides first before the lines start building late morning.

Thanks for this! We went to Typhoon Lagoon in mid-Sept in 2015 and it was very manageable at rope drop. But we went mid-week, so I am concerned that a weekend day will be much busier. We're early risers, so rope drop is not a problem for us.

Weekends have been more crowded than weekdays IME.

Still enjoyable though.
