We have not gone to a water park yet and are wondering if there is one day better then another and what is the best time to go? We will be there the 1st week of April. Looking at going Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday.

I've read somewhere that Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days to go.

I would go Thursday. Reason being-- weekdays are generally better than weekends. Thursday is further away from the Holiday. So, better chances of the crowds thinning out a bit by then.

BTW-- both of the water parks are incredible. I'm not a traditional water park fan!! However, I LOVE TL!!! The theming is so great I truly feel like I'm on a tropical vacation there.

Hi

The best advice weeve got is to avoid weekends as that is when the locals tend to go. Hope this helps

Pam

Do you think the water parks will be busy the last week in September on the weekends? I am going Sept 23-Oct 1 and had a schedule planned out that has Typhoon Lagoon on the Sunday after we get there... You can view my schedule (granted it is 7 months away) using the link below and provide any advice you have...

Maui,
I was there the same time frame last year & it is very uncrowded so you'll be able to see & do everything you want. The only changes I would make is this:

Fri - don't eat lunch at noon (We were at MK on Fri & all restaurants are crowded). Eat at 11am (you'll be hungry from flying all morning, etc). Maybe at Peco's Bills, we love the fixins bar & there are tons of seats inside. Then I would stay at MK until you go the the Swan. I have no idea why you are going to EPCOT for 2 hrs.

Sun - I would not go to the water park on a weekend. Sept is still super hot & I'[m sure the locals will be all over the water parks! I would change Sun with Tues but instead of your Tues I would just make Sun a full MGM day (with your hotel rest in btwn). You can do everything you want to do at MGM in a day.

Tues - I would now change to TL in the am, back to the hotel & then if you want you can go to EPCOT, or not even use a day from your park ticket & just go earlier to DTD. I say skip AK cuz you will have done everything you want to do back on Saturday, you don't need a return trip imho. So, again, for Tues I say TL from 10am - 2pm, hotel, EPCOT from 5 or 6pm - close, or substitute DTD for EPCOT for same time frame (and save a day on your tix).

Sat - If you have not done everything you want at MK, then hit MK in the am & then EPCOT, but there is no need to hit MGM again, you'll have done everything from your prev visit on Sun. Or leave that day open to hit what you feel you missed or needed more time for.

Hope this input helps! Have a great trip. Sept really is a great time to go!

Thanks for the input - good advice. The only reason I have Epcot on the same portion of the first day as MK is because I figured we would take the monorail back to Epcot and walk through it to go to the Swan maybe catching an attraction or two along the way... I took what you wrote and made some alterations to the itinerary - any more suggestions? Updated plan is at this link... Any more suggestions?
