I know this must have been covered before but I can't find it. We are going to WDW the first full week in April. I gather the average daily highs will be around 75*. How many people actually go to the Waterparks in this weather or during this time?

I know the pool water is heated but not actually hot. It probably won't even feel warm. But it probably won't feel cold after the initial shock of going in. We are not Northerners who will swim when it's somewhat mild out (60's), but we also don't need it to be in the 90's to enjoy a swim either.

This is definitely a subjective thing, but I'd love to hear any reasonable opinion on this.

We've gone swimming at Disney in all temps. Once, ice started forming in my hair while hurrying from the computer pool at Pop to our room close to the playground, lol. But the pool felt great. :)

As for the water parks, I've found some water warm and some cold. The air can get cold when your up high in line for a slide. April, is typically decent. I use to take my niece and nephew the weekend of Easter, so that could be March or April depending when it fell. I can't remember ever being too cold to swim then.

How are the crowds at that time? It isn't Easter. There will be an entire week between Easter and when we arrive.

Crowds seem to keep increasing resort wide. You can get a lot done the first 2 hours and last two. We use the lazy rivers as our transportation from one area in the water park to the next.

We always go Mid March and temps have always been in the 80s. We go to the water parks at least 2 - 3 times per visit. It's the perfect time to go.

I love the waterparks is milder weather. We are Northerners who will go to the water parks regardless of the temperature. One December, we were one of two families at Typhoon Lagoon. The temperature was in the 50's. The DH and one of my DD's will go in but I sit around and read all day so it doesn't matter to me at all.

However, the locals do not enjoy the parks in the same numbers as they do in the hot summer so the water parks are much less crowded in milder temperatures. My friend, who is a local won't get in her home pool if it is under 80 degrees.

My other piece of practical advice for the waterparks is take a cab or Uber. The buses take forever. If you calculated how much per hour your vacation cost the $15 (at the most) ride is worth it. My rides from BC or S&D are under $10.

We were just there in Dec. went to Typhoon Lagoon. Predicted temps were 73 ended up being a beautiful 82! perfect for swimming. Also the cool temps made the water park virtually empty! It was great!

Depends on what their air temps are. Avg temps are a good indicator of what is possible, but so are highs and lows. You could see 80s or you could see 50s.

It won't be the water temp that will get you, but rather the air temp when you are wet and walking around. Especially if it isn't sunny and windy with a cool breeze.

Historically, you are looking at avg highs in the mid to low 80s and avg lowd in the upper 60s.
