Does anybody do these(I know somebody does b/c I've seen people on them when we go), and if so are you freezing after you get off? My DD8 and I have made an greement that since I don't like to fly and she dosen't like water rides, if we fly to Disney this year she will ride one(she can choose from SM or KALI. I wanted to see though how cold it is after b/c I don't wanna get her all wet and then she'll be complaining about "freezing" for the remainder of the day. So my questions are
1)Do you ride water rides in October and if so are you freezing when you're done
2) Do you wear ponchos on the ride, and if so do they really keep you dry
3) Which one will get you the least wet Kali or Splash?

I am sure Disney is still hot in October we go every Dec and ride the water rides no problems and its always in the 70's...October will still be hot and muggy

When in Oct do you plan on going? We have been the last two years for the first ten days in Oct and it is pretty warm mostly high to mid 80's! :sunny: And yes, we do all the water rides without problem! But I have seen some people on Kali with rain ponchos on (but what fun is that :rotfl: )! I think even toward the end of the month the weather is still pretty nice!

Oh my goodness! No danger of "freezing." We've been in late October before and it is HOT, HOT, HOT still. 80's at least, sometimes 90's.

We have gone the week before Thanksgiving and it is still very warm
and also in early march which is not as warm but the waterparks are
very enjoyable at those times :cool1:

kali is definately wetter than splash. a poncho will keep you perfectly dry on splash. keep your feet up on kali. do the water ride right when leaving the park. both times we went in january, we did kali last thing before we left the park. we were cold, but ten minutes later we were in the bus headed back to our resort for a change of clothes and a hop to another park.

We went the last week of October-did ALL the water rides.

It was super HOT :sunny:

We're going Oct 16-23. The ponchos were only b/c dd8 dosen't like water rides. I love them(as long as I'm not wearing jeans or socks). I guess our deal is on then! Thanks for the info everyone

I grew up in Orlando, and I don't remember any cool days until after Halloween. (However, I do remember many, many Halloweens when I had to wear a jacket over the costume Mom and I had planned during the previous very warm weeks!!) Dh and I visited WDW at the end of last Oct/ beginning of November. It was unseasonably warm -- make that HOT -- during our visit. However, the humidity was not so bad as it can be in the summer. Plan on lots of water time!!
