Water Pressure around Disney World

I am fine about saving the environment. I have solar panels on my roof and I drive a hybrid. But has anyone else noticed the water pressure around the world has been turned way down? I mean way down.

And meanwhile they have the AC blasting on Main Street with the doors wide open.

Oh the irony.

I'm sure they haven't touched the water pressure, or the toilets wouldn't work right. They are just installing lower flow fixtures. As someone in the energy saving business, this is a pretty standard part of energy conservation. I haven't noticed any problems (I've stayed in 3 different hotels in the past year and had no issues with the showers).

The most important thing in energy management is to save energy without impacting day to day operation. If they have the doors open, it's got a business purpose (more inviting to customers).

Not sure what your sour grapes are about.

Not talking about the rooms. I have never had a problem in the room.
I am talking about the sinks in the public restrooms in the resort and the parks.

The water trickles out. It is one turn away from turning off.
I have been in the restroom and heard others comment about it.

I noticed it this past weekend. I was actually thinking that with such a trickle of water hands are not being cleaned properly. It was almost impossible to get the soap off in some bathrooms.

Heh... that wouldn't be an "enticement" to purchase some bottled water or refreshing sodas at the stands... would it? ;)

That's kind of scary

~LOL! That's funny because last summer there were so many complaints here that the AC wasn't cranked up high enough! :lmao:

~So, this year it's the water pressure & that doesn't surprise me at all. I wonder if this is due to the recent new construction for resorts like Art of Animation and the recent DVC projects?

~You should definitely write Disney and inform them of what you experienced. It's on my radar now, so I will look out for it too! :goodvibes

I too am curious about this post. Disney World is one of the best environmentally correct businesses but yet they don't hold up to your standard of "correctness"? If the water pressure in the bathrooms is lower than what you would like them to be, just stand there longer to wash your hands. If washing your hands is that important, then take the time to do it correctly.

And yes, there was a massive amount of posts in the recent past of not enough air conditioning. And that really is a point of consideration. My husband and I have been married for 32 years but I have to take a jacket with me to every restaurant, not just at Disney World, because I get very cold very quickly. He, on the other hand, sits there and sweats. Same temperature for both of us but just how our bodies are.
