We are going to be at WDW for 10 days in June. We are planning one day at a water park. Would a weekday or weekend day be better crowd wise?

Just considering the local population, there will be more locals able to attend on weekends than during the work week.

I agree attendance is higher on the weekends compared to the weekdays.
