I have never been to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. Which do you like best? Our party will be all adults (no kids), and we're going in late October. One thing I'm concerned about is finding a place to sit that would be shady - is one better than the other for having more shady places to sit? Thanks for the feedback.

It's a tough call. I personally favor TL because I am a shark fanatic and I love Shark Reef. I also think the wave pool is better at TL. The big Tsunami waves are so much fun.

I do however, like BB slides better. Although I have not yet had the opportunity to go on Crush N Gusher.

I don't know about shade as I don't sit much while we are there.

Blizzard Beach is worth it if you do nothing else but ride the Summit Plummet only once and then leave the park. What a fantastic slide!!!!!!!!

DH and I have no kids and we much prefer TL. BB always seems to be full of teenagers because it does have more exciting water slides. However, the park itself is more concrete, where TL has more sand and beaches and trees and has nicer and quiter places to sit and relax. The slides at TL are great as well - especially the new Crush n Gusher slides! - so DH and I find it to be just as much fun, and an overall prettier park.

Both water parks have their pluses. The slides at BB are more plentiful and faster, but BB has continuous waves in the wave pool.

TL is more tropical feeling, it has good slides too, just not as many as BB. The wave pool is much better at TL though. It has bigger single waves. It also switches to the continuous waves for a little while.

For shade, you are far better off going to TL. BB has hardly any areas of shade. And, since the theme is snow, there is a lot of white surfaces and it is very bright. TL themes is much more tropical and laid back.

It really depends on what your group wants more of.

We like TL because of the tropical feel. Being from PA., we don't want to see snow in Florida, even if it is fake!

We LOVE TL...even joke that we would go to Orlando just to go there! We went to BB one time and it just wasn't our thing...didn't like the atmosphere. I like that at TL it is so tropical and you can find fun little semi-private spots to sit in the shade. We love it all around, I could spend hours just in the lazy river. Can't wait to go in September!!!

Thanks for the great info! Just what I was looking for. I think I'll try TL!!
