Water parks option

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the water park add on option.

I have called the hotline twice and was given a different answer each time, so I'm hoping some of you experts can help me out.

I bought a five day theme park plus resort hotel package. I am planning on adding on the water park option when I arrive if the weather is suitable for two children to swim.

My question is, must you use your water park visits during one of your five day theme park tickets, essentially taking the place of a theme park?

For example, here is a hypothetical schedule.

My five theme park tickets...

April 13 Hollywood studios
April 14 animal kingdom
April 15 Epcot
April 16 magic kingdom
April 17 magic kingdom

By purchasing the water park and more add on, could I then do...

April 18 blizzard beach
April 19 typhoon lagoon

...or must my water park days be used on one of the aforementioned days, taking the place of say Hollywood studios and Epcot?

One representative told me they can be used on totally separate days. Another told me they must be used during your five day pass. He said I could do something like, blizzard beach in the morning, magic kingdom in the evening but I'd hate for the water park to use up half of a magic kingdom day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks kindly.

You can use the WPaM option as separate days. You get 5 entries to parks and 5 to waterparks (or disney quest/minigolf/oak trail). I think they all have to be used within 14 days of the first use but I'm not positive on that.

So your five water park admissions can be on totally separate days...essentially turning my original five day pass into seven. That's excellent. Three of my water park days will go to waste if that's the case since we only have one week. I don't know if we will ever go to disney world again so I'm hesitant to pay for no expiration. This is our second and most likely last visit. We didn't do the water parks the first time. My kids are going to love them. Provided weather cooperates.

This is correct.

Do not add no expiration. It would be a complete waste of money.

...are your water parks on your magic band or are they paper tickets?

Are the water parks tickets tied to the magic bands?

Nothing is on your magic bands. All of your ticket entitlements will be on you My Disney Experience account which can be accessed with your magic band. So, to answer the question that I think you're asking: yes, you can use your magic band to get into the water parks.

Yup

Yup

Don't forget the "& more" part of the ticket! It gets you entry into the water parks, Disney Quest, mini golf, and the golf course. Play a round of mini golf (Winter Summerland is literally right next to Blizzard Beach) or check out Disney Quest for a few hours one day.

This post includes the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

(Note, if you have a ticket of fewer than ten days, insert the number of days you have any time you see the number "ten" in this post.)

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS, FG, WSL). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail* in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

*Oak Trail is a nine-hole "Executive" walking (no carts) golf course. Each person must have their own set of clubs and they can be rented for $15 per person if they don't bring their own.
