Water Parks in Jan.?

Just wondering if either tl or bb will be open the end of jan. We will be there the last week and have a few plusses we thought we might use if the weather cooperates.

Typhoon Lagoon was open this January but we were only able to go one day because the weather just didn't want to cooperate.

Unless they are closed for rehab the water parks are open every day. But they have to have a minimum number of people in attendance or they will be closed. So if the weather is to cold or rainy they might not be open.

I been to Typhoon Lagoon twice in January, in 2002 and 2003. I must say it was the best time I ever had at water parks, since they are so uncrowded! I climbed the stairs to the tubes and slides so many times my feet were aching! I could body surf in the wave pool without crashing into anyone!

Of course, it was a tad cool, as the tempertaure was about 70 degrees on both of my visits. They will close the water park if the temperature is forcasted to be too cold. This happened once when I was there - the temp for the next day was forcasted to be 55 degrees, so the Typhoon Lagoon employees already knew they had tomorrow off.

BB is closed every Jan but TL will be open. We manage to visit TL 3 times this past Jan. Our previous Jan vacations were cold so the waterparks were out. Luckily this jan we had a few warm days during our stay!

I think they try to have one of the two open on any given day during the winter months. Just check your daily schedule to see which one.
