I have been to WDW many times but have never had the courage to try a water park. Well, this year is going to be different! So I am now wondering are there any of the water slides or tube rides that have a weight limit? Would anyone recommmend one park over the other?

Thanks! :bounce:

We have done both and I'm pooh size 28 and my DH is Baloo size 5X and we never had any problems on any slides. The wet suit vests at TL are a bit on the small size for me to swim with the sharks but you don't have to use them.

We felt right a home. No dirty looks like you may sometimes get at a local water park. When people are at Disney, they tend to focus on their family fun and don't tend to critisize others as much or at all...

Sorry I could not be more specific.

No problems for me. Everyone is so busy having a wonderful time they really are not paying much attention to others anyway. I searched for a great swim suit I felt very comfotable wandering around in and had a very nice time. go and have fun!

PhotobearSam ~ I'm not trying to change the subject, but I'm wondering how the rides in the 4 main parks are for "pooh sized" people? I am pooh sized, and am very concerned that there may be some rides that I won't be able to ride with my family. I'm about a size "24 - Pooh." Thanks in advance for your information and advice!

The last time we went I was short, stout and roundabout (5'10 300 lbs) and never had an issue with any rides. I think Disney does a great job of catering to everyone.

We rode EVERYTHING!!!

WDW is great for the Pooh sized...

We would have to ride one per row sometimes but that was it and the CM ARE GREAT!!!! Just request any seat you want...and they will let you wait for it. We rode together on lots of the rides too...

We even did the carousel.

If you have any specific ride question, please PM me...I'll be happy to answer to the best of my memory.
:)

for those of you that are concerned about rides in the parks...you can go to wdwig.com and there is a whole article written about being "pooh sized" in the parks. I think if you click on Theme Parks and then to the left there is a link to WDW at Large. Lots of good info to help you to relax before your trip. You will have a great time! Dawn

Actually, the only time I had a hard time being "Pooh Sized" was when riding a ride with an over-the-shoulder safety harness...they really needed to push down hard to make sure it was secured.
I'm a 24 which doesn't seem SO big but it sure did then! I've been to D/W several times and each time I've gone to a water park or two and didn't have any problems. The idea is to have FUN, and they are really good at making everyone do just that. I've never been brave enough to go on an actual water slide but that isn't because of my size, it's because I'm chicken! HAVE FUN!

Thanks for the info! I did buy a nice comfortable bathing suit with shorts attached so I will go and have fun and not worry!

I knew I could count on my fellow DIS'ers!

Deb's web site has a wonderful section just on this topic.

"Walt Disney World At LARGE Disney through the eyes
of people who know one size does not fit all."
http://wdwig.com/ridsiz.htm

It has everything you ever wanted to know about being Pooh sized at Disney, and more!
