Is it possible for a non-swimming adult to have fun at a Water Park?

Which park is best?

Do any of the slides or family raft rides end in a couple of inches of water or do they all have a three foot splash pool (which could be quite frightening for a non-swimmer arriving at speed, horizontally)!

I love both water parks, so I can't really choose just one...but if you want to get your feet wet, and wade up to your knees (or such) go to the wave pools and pick a chair and relax; or try the lazy rivers that run around the water parks, it's a bit deep (3 feet maybe??) but you have the inner tube to use and hang on to; as for most of the slides, if not all, they do end up in pretty deep water at the end....hope that helps!

I don't think any of the areas at the bottoms of the slides are more that 4 ft deep, so as long as you are ok with that, no problem. I'm "not that strong a swimmer", and used to go to water parks when I couldn't swim at all. As long as I knew I'd be able to stand up, it was just a matter of holding my breath for a second until I found the bottom, then stand up.

Some slides, like Summit Plummet, end in just a few inches of water.

The family ride at BB ends in a few feet, but since you don't enter horizontally, shouldn't be a problem.

The lazy rivers are also very relaxing and only 3 or 4 ft deep, and as Princess pointed out, you can relax in the shallow end of the wave pools.

I like the atmoshere and wave pool at TL better, while BB has more thrilling slides. TL does have a new water coaster that I haven't been on yet.

I'm not the best swimmer in the world, but I love the lazy rivers at both water parks. I've done the family rafts with my son and husband, but I don't enjoy them. I really enjoy the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon, but I don't go out any deeper than my waist. When the waves come in, it gets pretty deep very quickly.

My mom is a non-swimmer-- she hates to get her hair wet even! But she LOVES the lazy rivers! They're pretty awesome-- you don't have to be a swimmer to enjoy them. :)

They serve great Run Runner's !!!:drinking1

Although I can swim, I prefer not to get my hair wet, and I love the Lazy River's. The family raft rides end up in just a small pool. No swimming needed. :flower:
