BB is the newer of the parks. It has awsome slides. TL has swimming with sharks if your into that sort of thing. Our trip in April we will all be going to BB but my dil wants to go over to TL just to swim with the sharks.
BB is our choice when we go as there are more and better slides.
What time of year are you going? They refurbish the water parks every year and one may be closed if you go around the end of the year/first of the year.
TL has a new water ride that will be opening soon. We prefer TL.
It sounds like the Blizzard is a better choice for kids. My girls are 5 and 10. Is there much for them to do at Typhoon or is geared for older kids/adults? Were travelling with brother and his kids 14 and newphew 12 and I don't want to sell my girls on the water parks if they will be limited in what they can do b/c the will be disapointed. Any suggestions from the veterans?

For your age group I would go to BB. You won't be disappointed. There a lot of slides for all ages. There is even one slide for the whole family to ride together. I can't think of the name of it but you have to take a ski lift to the top to ride down in a huge intertube. There is a Tike's area for the 5 year old with slides and such. There is something for everyone.
I can't believe no one has mentioned the wave pool at TL, it's not like any other wave pool in the world!! My DD (9) prefers spending the day in the wave pool with a couple of breaks to do the shark reef, lazy river, and a couple of slides. But at the same time we would never miss BB either. We ride the slides, which are fun and unique. The wave pool is just the typical wave pool with the bobbing waves, but they also have the ski patrol area for preteens, (although my DD started going over there at 7) with some slides & other activities.
we have talked about going to a waterpark this upcoming trip to wdw since we have never been. once i read the info on that new ride typhoon lagoon has, that was the decision breaker for me. it sounds like something similar i have only seen on the travel channel- the master blaster- at a water park in texas. i cant wait.
It's true the new ride will be like the Master Blaster found at Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, TX. We go ever summer and it's a blast! It will be a great addition to the park.
Usually you will find that the kids will choose BB, and the adults will choose TL. That may very well change once Slusher Gusher opens at TL this spring!
I like both for different reasons. BB for the slides and TL we love the wave pool and the tropical setting and the slides weren't bad either. We can't wait for the new water coaster.
We have gone to TL twwice and love it. We have younger children 1,2,7 so we not gone to BB. Which ever one you choose I am sure you won't be disappointed.
