Water Park Refillable Mugs Question

Can I use a mug that I buy at Blizzard Beach at Typhoon Lagoon or do I have to buy mugs for each place?

Are you planning to do both parks on the same day? The water park mugs are only good on the day of purchase.

I know it's the same mug, but honestly don't know if the barcode from one park will work in the other.

We were planning to do Blizzard Beach one day and Typhoon Lagoon another day.

Since this is a very related question, it prompts me to ask something I was wondering.

On subsequent days at a water park, you can purchase just the barcode to get another day of sodas with your mug. This is cheaper, because you aren't buying the souvineir mug itself a second time.

I frankly have enough mugs, and don't need another one as a souvineir. In fact, I only continue to buy the resort mugs each trip because it's required by Disney rules. At the waterparks, can you buy the barcode and use it on your resort mug? Or does the barcode have to go on a waterpark mug?

Dave, We do this with our "old" BB mug every year. We bought it back in the late 90's and reuse it every time by just buying the bar code. We have also used it at TL. The workers get a kick out of seeing us with an antique!

I have an old blizzard beach mug, but haven't used it since our last visit like two years ago, b/c we didn't know that we could re-use it or also use it at typhoon lagoon by just buying the barcode. Let me ask u, how much is it to just buy the barcode? Is it a significant difference?

I believe that the stickers were $6. A significant savings in my opinion considering we refill the mug many times. In previous years we could also get the slushies with the mug but now I believe you're limited to soda. Its still a great deal!

The original mug comes with a barcode for the first day. I didn't buy one at the water park this year, but I think it's close to the same price as the resort mugs. In the $12 range.
