explain this to me please

I read where it says number of visits are based on your number of days in the park. So I understand that to mean that if we want to do a waterpark it needs to be 1/2 day @ waterpark & 1/2 day @ MK. Can we still go a full day of waterpark if we want? But then we give up a day of WDW then - right?

Theme park entries and waterpark entries are separate on a ticket with the water park fun option. For example, if you buy a 4-day park ticket with the water park add-on, it means you get entry into a theme park for four days PLUS four entries into a waterpark, which you can use on the same day as a theme park entry or on a completely separate day. Using a waterpark entry does not impact your theme park entries.

ohhh so can you get just 1 day or is that too expensive? cause I hate to waste 3 days -

If you only want to do one day of waterparks, then you can get a separate ticket that is just for the waterpark and has nothing to do with your theme park tickets. If you get this one day ticket, you can go to both waterparks on the same day with that ticket. If you have the park hopper option on your theme park tickets, it will be cheaper to add the waterpark feature to your tickets than to get the one day separate ticket.

If you add the waterpark feature to your theme park ticket, you will have entrances to both waterparks and Disney Quest that equal the number of days. So if you go to both waterparks, that is two entrances even if you go on the same day.

I thought I read that you can now hop between water parks using only 1 ticket/entitlement?

This is my understanding as well. I believe a ticket CM cleared that up.

we aren't getting hoppers - so that means we can't hop waterparks on separate days?

In theory, you should be able to, if the assumption is that you can use one &More entitlement for both water parks in one day.

You probably did, but that was incorrect. As I said above, if you buy a one-day water park ticket, then you can hop between the water parks. If you add WP&M to your ticket, it takes two of your entries to go to both parks even if it's on the same day.

The hopper option ONLY applies to your theme park portion. You're not getting it, so don't worry about it. If you get WP&M, you can go to a theme park AND a water park on the same day and that will be one entry from WP&M and one day park entry. You can go to two different water parks on the same day, but it will cost you two entries from WP&M to do so.
