We are thinking about going to TL the morning of our MNSSHP, but I have a ds(7). Do you think this is to much? I don't want him to be to tired to enjoy MNSSHP! Anyone else ever tried this with kids before? Any other suggestions on how to spend that morning? TIA!

I have a 6yo and my plan for the day of the party is to just enjoy the resort. Spend time at the pool hopefully and see if the kids will nap. I think a water park will make them too tired.

We are planning on going to BB during the day we have MNSSHP. DS(4) loved it last year that we wanted to make sure we got to there this trip. We are only going for 4 days this year and since we are using part of a 7-day PHP pass, we have several Plus days to use. Furthermore, since we have to pay for MNSSHP, we thought it would be more efficient to use a Plus day on that day. We plan on going back to the hotel for an hour or two so DS can relax, not necessarily nap, before we go to the Party. On the weekends here he usually goes from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. (The time he actually falls asleep, not bedtime) so we think if we get him up at 8 that he'll make it until 10:30 or 11. I think DW and myself will be more tired than DS by days end. :D

Our last trip, we did Blizzard Beach for the morning, then had a rest in our room, and did MNSSHP that night. My girls were 8 and 10, and they did great! We stayed very late at MNSSHP, so we let them sleep in the next day.

I think that as long as you get a rest time in between, you'll all be fine!

We are doing that exact thing. We are planning TL in the morning and then back to the room in the afternoon to rest and get ready for mnsshp. We did this last year with ds7 and dd4 and it worked out great. We stayed at MK until close that night. As long as you plan some down time between the water park and MK, you should be fine.:) Have fun!

We are doing this also. Just saw that Blizzard Beach is closed when we are there so Typhoon Lagoon it is!

I think as long as the kids (& adults;) ) can get a nap in before MNSSHP, we'll all do just fine.

This is exactly what we did last year (although we didn't have kids!). We spend a few hours at TL in the morning went back to the hotel for a few hours and then went to MK for MNSSHP at 4pm! Since you can get into MK at 4pm we didn't want to spend a hopper day at another park and we wanted to take advantage of the 3 extra hours in the park (also to make sure we could do Splash Mountain a few times while the sun was still out).

Good plan!

Add one more family to the list! We're going to TL then to the MNSSHP on the 23rd.

We will be doing the same thing on 10/08. We also have 4 plus days to kill, we haven't decided which WP yet. When are most of you going to MNSSHP?

We're planning to go to BB the day we go to MNSSHP as well! We'll be going on 10/3, will BB still be open then?

We're thinking of doing this as well. Going to either BB or TL then take a rest before heading to MK for 4pm. This was I only have to get 3 day park hopper tickets for our 4 night stay.
