If we did not want to use a Park day on our MYW ticket - and used a Plus option - could we do a Water Park all day ?

Which water park is next to the Mickey Summer/Winter mini golf ?

Has anyone else spent all day - or most of the day at a water park ?

We will be at the Dolphin and could a water park - then rent a surrey bike in the afternoon. Or do the water park then DTD for late afternoon and dinner (DS & DD like RFC).

Our DS is 14 and DD is 11. They are swimmers - but not on a swim team.
They know the basics in water - float on back, tread water, alternate breathing, the crawl and can dive. They only swim in the summer (3 months if you are lucky) where we live.

Which water park would you recommend ?

Thanks :boat:

Blizzard Beach has Disney's Winter Summerland next to it.

Yes, we open and close the water parks (and we like them both).

If you don't want to do that, I highly suggest you open the park, find yourself a good spot to nest and then leave later in afternoon when it is really crowded to do your other things.

Both have lazy rivers and assortment of slides. TL is getting a new big slide, so if it has opened when you go, it may be the more crowded park.

TL - what makes it special is the Shark Reef and the Wave Pool. Pool may be too powerful for your kids comfort and if there is any chance of panic in water it would be the shark reef - I've seen it lots. Lush and tropical theme.

BB - OH it is so for kids wise and they will love it. Theme is awesome - snow/cartoon feel. Very Disney. The Ski Patrol Training area is lots of fun. They don't need to be strong swimmers for the slides, family raft ride is awesome. Ski lift up the mountain. The wave pool is very gentle so they would be fine. Miniature golf is here.

We have done both. When my dd was 9 we did BB. She is good in the water and tall for her age. She loved the area of BB that is for the preteen kids. I would say from 8-13 or so. It is terrific for those kids who are past the little tykes pool areas but aren't really ready to graduate to those whopping big slides!! We prefer TL at this point but that's because she and her dad love the wave pool there. Me...well, it's not my favorite thing to do. That is one big wall of water coming at you!!! So, if your kids aren't all that comfortable in the water, you might want to be careful of that one. Yes, you can stay closer to shore but the temptation seems to be great to get out further!!
I would go with BB if I were you. And you have the mini-golf right next door.
Have you looked into the mini-golf across the street from the Swan/Dolphin? It's Fantasia Gardens. We played mini-golf there in Nov and loved it.

Very easy to stay at the water parks from opening to closing as long as it is warm enough.

I like BB better than TL, but as another poster said, I don't like the wave pool all that much.
