Water Park 12/30 ish?

I am planning a trip, and due ADRs for holiday, and others going with us, and EMH ect, I need to have the parks straight ahead of time.

We have PAP for the 1st time and will for sure use them in March and Sept.. I am planning a yr end trip from 12/27 -01/06 should I plan a water park day? If I do and cannot go, we will have a back up, but not ADRs that day of coarse.. and I really don't think we can make it work a diff day, we will be there 4 days ahead of the others (who won't have WP tickets). so I have 2 days to choose from as my DD9th b day is 1 of the days and the other is arrival day. I almost hate to not make a ADR as we will be on the DDP for the 3 nights staying on site with points, and I would hate to waste it at a QS in the MK, cause it was too cold for a WP.. but I hate to not plan a WP if it is nice too.. as my DH and DD9 both LOVEEEEE them!


Do you plan a WP when you go in Dec? or skip it.. we have never had WP tickets, so we never had this "hiccup" before.

We never plan a water park in December. Its possible it will be warm enough to enjoy one but for us it usually isn't.

That is kind-a what I am thinking.. I will plan a fee-free cancellationable yak and Yeti and if it works out.. we will do the WP, and cancel it the night before or morning of.

This year we had paps and were there Christmas/NYE. We did not go to the water parks. 12/30 was very cold and they were selling hats and gloves. We did use the pool a bit and the hot tub more. As much as we wanted to go to a water park it just didn't plan out. I found it a bit chilly for me too.

I've been in WDW/VB/Member Cruise, since December 29, and none of the days have been WP worth, IMO. There have been a few "pool for an hour or two" days, but no full pool days for me!
