Ok, is it my imagination or do none of the water fountains (at least at Universal Studios) dispense cold refreshing water?? I swear I feel like everytime I drink some water I have the "bleh" feeling.

Am I the only one who has noticed this? Is this some kind of "you should buy cold refreshments for $7.00 instead" trick??

Refreshing ice water is available for free in your refillable drink cup or in a disposable cup...All you have to do is ask.

you can get a free cup of ice water from any of the carts or indoor food places in the parks.

The water at all parks from the water fountains is nasty. All the theme parks will give you free ice water like the other's said. It some out of the fountain dispensers and tastes better. I never buy bottled, it's ridiculous.

You are not wrong. The water from the fountains at Universal is different from Disney. Water for Disney comes from the Reedy Creek treatment plant and Universal Studios has Orlando muncipal water. IMO the water near Kissimmee and Disney has a more sulpher taste to it.

I've actually been on an ongoing quest to find cold water fountains in theme parks, as strange as it sounds. :)

I can locate at least one in MK, EPCOT, DHS, and SeaWorld (haven't searched one out yet for AK).

The only one I know for sure that has cold water in Universal Orlando is the water fountain in the Dragon Challenge queue. It's indoors and a bit hidden. It's at a point where you take a right turn in the queue, and it will be on your right side, before you enter another room. I know, very vague. ;)

Can you share where you found the cold fountains? Thanks.

MK: the restrooms near Casey's Corner, near First Aid (this was a few years back, so I don't know if this is still true).

EPCOT: the restrooms near the east side of the entrance (next to one of the gift shops).

DHS: this one is a little harder to describe, but there is a set of water fountains between Hollywood & Vine and Min and Bill's Dockside Diner (near Echo Lake).

SeaWorld: I've found the most cold water fountains here than any other park so far. At least one I can tell you for sure is the one on the side of the Seaport Theater (where they have Pets Ahoy). The taller fountain. ;)

There's a cold water fountain in IOA near the entrance to the Jurassic Park ride. It's right outside of the bathrooms to the left of the entrance (as you're looking at it). That's pretty much the only cold water fountain I found in my 4 days there this week. And, the water doesn't taste great, but it's wet and free. Can't go wrong with that.

Thanks for the heads up - will have to remember to check that one out! I don't mind FL tap water. ;)

This is the one I was going to say, its the only one I found that tasted nice and it was so cold and refreshing...every other one at all the parks was disgusting.

The free water at CS places was good though.
