Water fountains in parks

I have never been refused a cup of water from the quick service places. They always deliver it with good grace. I just tip it into my bottle. having a compromised immune system I think I may pass on the fountain after reading this lol!

We 'never' drink any water from the fountains after what we've seen and heard!

We also never 'pack' water around - so convenient to get it when needed at the CS places - great ice water and throw away cups!

My plan is to fill my insulated water bottle with ice water to start the day and just fill with adl water as we go. Unless there is no line at a CS to get water I would just prefer to fill in a fountain. When the ice does run out I will replenish at a CS location. Are there water fountains throughout the parks or are they few and far between?

I actually don't mind the water, but if you can imagine water with a lot of sulphur in it like you might encounter at a camp ground, that's the taste and odor you'll encounter in tap water throughout WDW. Including the odor of the water rides and your room shower and brushing your teeth. Basically, like fizzy rotten eggs. You can taste it in fountain drinks as well. It's really better just to make peace with it unless all the water and soda you drink is going to be out of a pre-sealed bottle. We do as you're planning to do, refill plastic bottles with tap water from drinking fountains, without issue.
