Hi Guys-

When we went in March we noticed a lot of park water attractions were not turned on (like Donald's Boat and the elephants in the Jungle Cruise). Will these be working in December? During the noon time hour does it usually get warm enough to do the wet attractions like Splash Mountain or the Rapids in AK?

Need opinions so I can plan my day accordingly (DD will be soooo dissapointed if its too cold to do Splash Mountain)....

Thanks everyone!
Mel

I've been on the Jungle Cruise in March and November and everything always seemed to work fine.

I've also gone surfing at TL in mid-November and the park opened afterwards no problem, so I would guess it will be warm enough. Over the last two years they'd close one of the waterparks for rehab and operate only one, and I'd guess also that as attendance at waterparks is down but not out in the off season that this plan works okay.

i've gone twice in december and yes it's very cold it can get down to 40 at night and it only gets to MAYBE 70 during the day. for the backlot tour, they don't do the opening show of picking people out of the crowd to show you how they do the one water part. so since i'm going in 3 days, this will be my first time seeing it! lol. we didn't hit Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids either and we'll be going now.

hi, we went this past december and it was very chilly, we did not do any water parks or anything that could get us soaked. i think it was unseasonably cold, maybe this december the temps will be warmer. hope that helps.

We were there Dec 7-15th last year and for the first three days it was in the 80's everyday. We did splash and Kali. All the water features on the rides were working those days. After that it was in the 70's, then 60's and the day we left it got cold. We went from waking up to the 80's to the 40's on the day we left (the 15th). You can never tell with the Dec. weather!

It's hit or miss in December. Dec of 2000 it was warm one day of my trip, mid 70's, then it dropped into the 50's! No way were we doing any water rides then! This past Dec the weather was much warmer, upper 70's to low 80's the whole time. It was easy to do water attractions then. If you're gonna do Splash Mountain and it's chilly, just dress appropriately. Bring something else to change into if you get too wet, wear fast drying clothes, or wear a pancho so you can stay somewhat dry.

I don't think I've ever seen Donald's boat with the water working? Anyone have any idea when it was last turned on?
