does anyone have a recipe for the watermelon juice/slushy thing that was served at the MExico restaurant in EPCOT a few years ago? i was just at WDW and i couldn't find it there. at MOracco they had different slushies, but i looked as though they came from a mix. the one i had tasted fresh. does anyone have the recipe?

I noticed at allears.net that they listed Watermelon Water on the Mexico menu for the 2002 & 2003 Food and Wine Festivals....however, I haven't seen the recipe for it on any of the WDW recipe collectors' sites.

I would try emailing them for the recipe. They're usually very accomodating about supplying recipes that they have.

I tried this in the World Showplace in Epcot last October as well - and LOVED it!

How does one go about email them for a recipe? How do I find how who to email?

You might want to try this:


Agua de Sandía (Watermelon Water)

2 cups diced seedless watermelon, with rind removed
6 cups water
1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)

Place one cup diced watermelon in blender, along with two cups of the water. Blend until liquified. Pour into a pitcher. Place remaining cup of watermelon in blender, along with two more cups water. Blend thoroughly and pour into pitcher. Add remaining two cups of water and sugar. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Chill thoroughly before serving. Pour into tall, ice-filled glasses and serve.
