...can we park at the Poly? I know you can park there for 3 hours to eat, but what about watching wishes? Or would it be easier to park at the TTA and walk to the beach?

I like the idea of watching wishes from the beach there!

park at the Poly...you won't be there for longer then the 3 hours anyway.

You could, but I wouldn't. It's a nice perk to have if you happen to be staying there, anyway and can watch from the balcony. One time I was on my way back from the main bldg and happened to be going that way, so I stopped and watched.

But they are much, much, 100x better IN the park.

The last time we were preparing to watch Wishes from the beach at Poly (we were staying there at the time) one of the boat captains approached us and said he'd take us on a firework's cruise for $50 (it was getting late) -- it was awesome. We had drinks and snacks and were able to listen to the audio from a neighboring boat. If you haven't done it, a fireworks cruise is magical -- the perspective directly in front of the castle can't be beat. We're headed down next week and I might have to check to see if any last minute deals could be had for a fireworks cruise!

If you do decide to park at TTC, the walk through the resort at night is beautiful, the tiki torches will be lit.

Thanks for the replies. :)

We will be watching them in the parks on other days but this is for the day we arrive. we fly from the uk and get to olrando at around 3.30pm. so we were looking for something to do the first night as we didn't want to use one of our park days just to see the fireworks.

I agree.. I just got back from Disney yesterday, and we monorail hopped to the Poly and watched Wished from the beach. Security doesn't really care how long you park there, especially if you are already staying at a Disney hotel. THe walk from the TTC is enjoyable if you go that route.:thumbsup2

I just found out that the first few Halloween parties are going to be while I am there. Would I be able to see Hallo-Wishes from the Poly (or GF)? That would be cool, since we can't do the party.

Thanks!

If there is anyway you can do the NSSMHP DOOOOO it! Did it first time last year and it was the highlight of our trip. Fireworks you never seen b4 special parade free facepainting balloon making, trick or treating meet and greet with the villians, and all kinds of special t hings you do not get at the regualr times. Make sure you dress up! We will be there Sept. 11th:darth:

I've never been close to Halloween, but have been during Dec., at MVMCP time. Most of the special effects are done on the castle/main street, so while, yes, you would be able to see Hallowishes from the Poly, you wouldn't really be able to see any of the detail, and it would probably not seem mych different than the "regular" wishes from t here. (although you would get the piped in music) I'm thinking the same is true of views from the GF and CR.

Watching Wishes from the poly is a great activity to do on arrival day! If you get there a little early you can probably grab a few hammocks. Don't forget to watch the water parade while your there.

If you want to get a feel for the grounds at night you can walk to the TTC and take a monorail ride to Epcot and see Epcot at night, then stay on the monorail back to the TTC. From the TTC the next stop on the resort monorail is poly, so you could hop off the monorail and be right be your car.

Just an idea :)
