Watching wishes- dessert party v cruise

So I'm looking for opinions on which is the best way to watch wishes?? Had originally thought we'd book the dessert party but have just seen the pirates cruise thing... Or as there's 10 of us it's also an option to hire our own boat for the fireworks.

So what experiences have people had with these.. Where gives the best view? And best overall experience??

We had a private boat to watch the fireworks and it was a fabulous experience. They had snacks and drinks waiting for us. The boat driver toured us around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon before. Got the boat in place for fireworks and piped in the music/narrations. Last we got to see the water parade up close. We are planning to do it again next July.
