Hello: Do I have to park my scooter in a particular place to watch the main street electrical parade, also can my husband and daughter stay with me if I do need to go to a spot for scooters?
You can put it anywhere you want, and stay on it, as long as you are behind the ropes. And of course your family can stay with you. There are designated Handicapped viewing areas for the parade, for wheelchair and ecv users. They fill up early, and frequently only one member of the party can stay with the person in the chair. The rest of the party can view from an adjacent area.
There are handicapped viewing areas clearly marked on all park maps. If you choose to use one of them, be aware that they do tend to fill up quickly, so you may need to arrive as much as an hour ahead of time.
Wheelchairs and scooters will be parked close together across the front of the viewing area. There will be space behind you for your companions. If it is very busy sometimes they limit to one companion per mobility device, but two is probably not going to be an issue. If it's not busy they will allow up to five companions.
You do not need to use the handicap doing areas. You can park the ECV anywhere you would like along the parade route. It's important to be aware that some areas do you have curbs, so you want to choose an area without if possible.
Several times we have seen one family member, either hold or adult, sit right in front of the WC on the ground, and the other family member stand behind the WC. (This was at DL though, not WDW.) I am not sure if they allow this at WDW.

Yes, this is allowed at WDW. As a party of 3, this is what we've been instructed to do on occasions that we have used the WC seating for parades. We've been told otherwise, only 1 companion may stay.
I have never used the wheelchair viewing near the castle for the parade but planning to do so next week. Wondering if you are in the wheelchair area near the castle for Main Street Electrical Parade, can you stay there to watch Celebrate the Magic and Wishes afterwards or is the view not good for the projection show & fireworks?
