Beach at Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian or Grand Floridian.
Can I go hang out on the beaches if I'm not a resort guest?
I know the Boardwalk usually lets non resort guests park for the day but I'm not sure about the mentioned Magic Kingdom area resorts.Do you have to pay to park at the hotels? Can I get to one of these easily from DTD?
Thanks for the replies!

Yes.
Unless it's on or near New Year's Eve or July 4th, the MK area resort beaches are fairly deserted after dark.
If you don't care about seeing Wishes afterwards our favorite spot to watch the water parade was from the Wilderness Lodge beach. There was hardly anyone there. Everyone was able to get a beach chair to watch.
The Fort Wilderness Beach is a great spot if you want to take some time to visit there. I'd recommend driving and parking there, then taking the internal bus to the Settlement area. The EWP always passes there at 9:45.
What is the 'Settlement area'?
What is the 'Settlement area'?
It is the area with Trails End, HDDR, Settlement Trading Post, Crockets Tavern that is right next to the beach/marina area of FW. If you drive and park at FW or even take a bus from DTD, you will enter at the Outpost and then take a bus back to the Settlement Depot.
