Watching a scheduled surgery at Conversation Station

Animal Kingdom - Do you have to travel there to find out if anything is scheduled or can you find out beforehand?

We have happened upon surgery twice on our visits. I don't know if there is a way to find out ahead of time. A CM there told us that surgery was usually in the morning. My DD stood at the window and watched a long time.

When I did the backstage safari tour, they said that a lot of people go out to conservation station first thing in the morning to check the schedule. I wish that they would post it elsewhere in the park so that you didn't have to ride all the way out there, though!
