Driving home today, seeing huge piles of leaves on the side of the road, I was reminded of a horrible story that I heard this week out of Methuen, Ma. Apparently two 10 year old little girls were playing and hiding in a pile of leaves by the road. One of the little girl's father came home with his two younger children and parked his truck in the pile of leaves. When he got out of the truck he heard his daughter saying; "Daddy, I can't breathe". She and her friend died. I am sorry I don't have the link but whenever any of my sons' friends called for them this weekend, I told them of this tragedy. Too often we forget how much we loved the leaves when we were kids and may forget that a child could be playing in there.
