Watch Out People !! ~ BEWARE ~ Slim Mojito Monkey Partying People In Progress !!

Soo... Ah... I feel badly for you ladies who actually have a job right now- because between drinking my water and going pee- I wouldn't get much done at a workplace! (Actually, kinda feels like I'm 9 months pregnant- good thing I don't LOOK it as much anymore!).

Sad, but true... Twice in the past 6 months, I've had people ask me when my baby is due. Now, perhaps it's because I have to wear an apron at my 'job' (Oh, I DO work- 4 hours on Sunday- pretty blah if you ask me!) or perhaps it's because I carry most of my weight around my hips/stomach area.

But dude- is that a kick in the gut or what?

DEFINITELY measure. The thing is- since everyone is exercising too- you will be putting on muscle, which weighs more then fat. So while you might lose more weight initially if you just dieted- exercising and dieting is a lot better because muscle burns more calories so when you aren't working out, you are burning more calories just sitting and doing normal things around the house.

I am bushed. I did 50 minutes today and am just exhausted. Will fill up my water jug in a moment. I'm pretty sure I'll be up a pound from last week, but I'm taking it in stride- AF is a witch and really screwed with my eating habits! BUT I've still worked out- so I've gotta be proud of that!

I bought some protein shakes last night and protein bars- someone told me to try them since I'm working out so much. Said it might curb my appetite and will help build muscle, I think? Plus, I stocked up on jello and fat free whip cream.

I also made my motivation area- across from my elliptical are my 35 Mickey Heads and the map of WDW underneath it- 35 pounds to go.

As far as how much weight we are losing, ladies- let's face it, the media sets us up for failure. How many of us have seen 'The Biggest Loser'? These people are losing 12-15 pounds per WEEK. Of course, we all say to ourselves, 1-2 pounds a week is healthy and the best way to keep it off- but the media feeds us otherwise. It's in the back of our heads that we should be able to drop weight like *snap* that. Well, that's just not true- and not healthy either. If you don't lose any weight this week or next week or the following week- or three weeks in a row!- but you are eating better and working out, do you think you are healthier then you were before you started this challenge? OF COURSE, you are!

Pru -
We all needed this reminder. I am the type of person I want it done NOW !When I don't see my weight loss results immediatly I give up ! :scared1: This time I am going to keep doing this though - I WILL not give up !
There will plenty of times when I slip and fall - but there is no giving up here !! :cheer2:

How do you get the smiley faces from cmiley central to show up on here? I tried and tried and it never worked!

Oh, and HI everyone! :yay:

Hi, guys! :wave2: You guys are all doing EXCELLENT!!! Keep up the good work!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I don't get here to post everyday, but you all have been a great motivation to me!! I have been here on WISH for almost a year and a half now and I have been struggling for awhile. Seeing all of you so motivated has given me the :cool1: kick in the butt I needed to get moving again!!

I have had a good and bad week diet wise. I did pretty good on my exercise, but more days than not I have eaten badly. I am working on it though. I have done 305 minutes on my exercise challenge and my goal is 900.

I agree that this is more about getting healthy than anything else, but it helps to see results. I Finally measured myself this past weekend. Hopefully that will help me see results when the scale decides not to move.

I love the idea of the mickey heads to countdown weight as motivation!! I was thinking that I would like to put something at my desk to movtivate me, but I don't know what? :confused3 Any ideas? I was thinking along the lines of a "skinny minnie" or some female cartoon character... to sort of strive toward looking like? Just not sure who and how to find a pic that is suitable. Any suggestions would be great.

Also, been kind of working on DH about the trip, just reading him about different things that have improved on the DDP since 2 years ago, etc. The other day he said, "you know, you have me thinking about Disney all the time now" :woohoo: :cool1: I think at this point if I really want to go all I have to do is give the word. Most of me really wants to, but there is this small part of me that says maybe we should go somewhere we haven't been or save the money. :scratchin NAH!! :thumbsup2 Most likely I'll be seeing some of you ladies there!! I'll keep you updated!

Have a GREAT Friday and Wonderful weekend!!! Fight the urge to be bad this weekend!! :cheer2:

Thanks for joining us, and we hope you are able to make it in September!

With regard to the cartoon character.... I think the only one the men in my family would love any woman to look like would be Jessica Rabbit! BUT, I don't have the coloring... yeah that's it:rolleyes: .... the coloring, to look anything like her!!!! ;)

Ok ladies ( and I think possibly a gentleman or two) ..... on the eve of our weigh in I found a GREAT inspiration !!

It's called a virtual model. You basically can build a model of yourself now and then where you want to be and see the diffrence.

Check it out - it is SO neat

Me currently ...... :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: ( There is to be NO laughing)

Pru I've been totally addicted to watching the Biggest Loser this week and I think the same thing - if they can lose a minimum of 4lbs. a week then why can't I - really messes with your mind and I should probably just stop watching but I can't help myself. And congrats on getting your Mickey heads up - I've got mine and just need to find a place to put them where they'll be motivating!

Good Friday to everyone! Another day closer!!!!

I was wondering if any of you have ever tryed the weight loss pill phentermine? that is what I wa son 2 years ago and lost alot of weight so I know it works, but the doctor put me on it again yesterday and my body is having a hard time adjusting! i couldnt sleep last night cause i was sooo jittery. anyway anyone else tryed this medication before and if so did it work for you and did you have any side effects?

THANKS!

I HATE that stupid drug. Take it early early in the morning ! That way over the course of the day it has time to wear off. Even then I still had a lot of trouble sleeping. It tends to make you very anxious and made me a terrible B-word !!

Ok everyone - it's weigh in day .....

How did everyone do ?! :cool1:

I am down another pound ( after gaining last week) - I really needed to see that this week ! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi, I hope every one is having a better week than I did:sad2: It has been a very stressful week at my house. I was doing good and was down 2 more lbs. the first part of the week, but it's been all downhill since then. I regained those 2 lbs. I lost this week:sad2: I know my eating was out of control due to all the stress issues, but I couldn't seem to stop. So, I am going to try to get back on track starting today:) One thing that I do know is that I really need to drink water, water & more water! That is the best appitite suppressent!:lmao:

YAY for the weight loss!

BOO for the weight gain!

I'm up 0.7 pounds. So less then 1 pound, but not down anything *cry*.

I know, realistically, this is the way it's going to be- I was just comforting a friend about the same thing- our bodies don't WANT to lose this weight, so there will be ups and downs. BUT I STILL DON'T LIKE IT WHEN IT'S ME!!!

:rotfl:

So I'm skipping my free day this week (and eating good this weekend- that's my goal). And next week, I better see 183ish. SIGH!

Good morning ladies! I am so happy it is Friday. I'm exhausted this week. Okay, so it's weigh in day!!! I haven't weighed myself all week & I got on the scale this morning before I left for work. To my surprise...I was 5.5 pounds lighter. OMG!! That is a record for me, I never lose weight. I am sooooo happy. It makes me feel good about all the hard work I put in this week at the gym & going for walks at night after dinner. Plus, I stayed away from junk food & soda for a whole week...that is very very hard for me.

My goal for the weekend is to continue on the workout schedule I have started & to continue drinking lots of water & eating healthy.

My husband is going up to Alaska on Sunday & taking my baby so that they can go & see my father-in-law. He is 75 and my DH feels that our son should have some grandpa time. I totally agree, but I am soooo sad that I'm going to be without my baby for a week. He's about 6 months old & I've never been away from him, so this week is going to be really hard for me. My goal while they are gone is to give myself some "me" time which I don't do very often because I always seem to put hubby & baby first. I'm going to go to the gym religously this week & only eat foods that I know are good for me...not food that my DH has in the house.
