Watch Out People !! ~ BEWARE ~ Slim Mojito Monkey Partying People In Progress !!

Okay, I had a HORRIBLE day yesterday. I had 1/2 an english muffin for breakfast, then some chicken (yes, just chicken) for lunch. Protein bar in the afternoon and a cookie for dinner. Then for dessert at 10pm I had three pieces of pizza. I was working all day yesterday 8-10 (14 hours) and didn't even have time for anything! Good news is that my weight went back down to my lowest ever this morning. Hoping it'll drop another half a pound by Friday so then I can change my ticker.
 

I believe that sometimes you NEED those extra calories to help kick your metabolism in gear- so I wouldn't worry about those slices of pizza. Next time, try to redirect your cravings, but sometimes- you want what you want!!!

Woohoo - good for you !! :banana: :banana: If the worst thing you had was 2 peices of pizza then you are still doing better than I did this last weekend. Keep up the good work this weekend. Hopefully that scale will be kind to you on Friday !!

I have actually drank water today! It's a miracle!!! I'll keep drinking though...

Oh, cake counts too! Haven't you ever noticed that sometimes, you can be stalled at the same weight and you are busting your butt working out and eating right and then one night, you indulge in ice cream or whatnot and then the scale starts moving?

Yep. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it! :rotfl:

Went for a long walk with the kids this afternoon and now I am off to my gym for a little bit of an elliptical workout.

Yes!!! That happens to me, but then I keep eating the ice cream to further test the theory and it stops working!

I think this week's weigh in is going to suck. Today was a bad food day- working out seems to come easily now, it's the food that is kicking MY BUTT. Sigh. Bigger sigh. I made brownies. I also ate the batter AND ate cooked brownies! UGH!
 
One key to success in anything is to have a compelling vision. Let me give you an example. I work in direct sales, my upline asked me what I wanted when I started making my dollar goal. So I said, "Travel, buy a new car, etc." And she said that will NEVER get me there because it is too generic. ... The more you see your vision the more firmly planted it becomes in your mind. Then that vision almost becomes your reality!


Did you see the movie "The Secret?" Or here about it on Oprah or Ellen, etc? It teaches this law of success, too.

Last time I was motivated to lose weight, I focused in my mind that they scale said 169 every time I stepped on it. It never did, but it kept getting closer and closer to that. I'm trying to do the visualization again this time, hoping the pounds will melt away in my mind LOL. I think it definately helps to focus on a number so your mind knows exactly where you want to be. :)

Oh Timmy - I don't think so !! You were going to try and walk a few minutes a day !! You are not going anywhere ! I know where to find you and will come hunt you down woman !!

I had my second weigh in with my trainer yesterday. First one was April 19th, when we started, so this one was 21 days later.

I was down 7 pounds, down 3% in body fat, and down almost 6 inches all around!!

My shorts are starting to slide down. :banana: :banana:

My husband doesn't even notice, and doesn't understand why I am motivated to go to the personal trainer. :rolleyes2

Today I went to the grocery outlet store and stocked up on healthy stuff. I bought tons of protein bars for 25 cents. They're not my favorite, but at least they are (imitation :rotfl: ) chocolate and good for an afternoon snack.

okay, silly question... what is a mojito like? I looked online and found it was an alcoholic drink made with rum and fruit juice. (right?) I don't drink, do they make virgin ones? May I have a tiny sip of someone's, just to try it? I surely couldn't finish a whole one!! LOL just 2 sips would probably knock me out!

Right now I would settle for 199 - but I am still aways off.

I WILL see it here in the next few weeks though - I am determined :mad:
 
Okay, I thought I'd start a healthy snack survey. What do you eat to solve your afternoon/morning/evening munchies?

Here's my list:

Light string cheese sticks (60 cal, low fat)
Fruit
protein bars
100 calorie snacks, 1 bag
1/3 bag of popped popcorn
2 Dibs ice cream bites
5-6 jellybeans
water
1 peppermint patty (LOL I love chocolate)
about 10 M&M minis
5 animal crackers
2 bite size oatmeal cookies

see,this is why I need ideas... half of these aren't particulaly healthy. Mind you, the animal crackers and oatmeal cookies are organic, all natural, and are small, but there are still better choices...there must be!...and I really would like to know what you are eating for these :)
 
I am doing low carb, so I can't help with the snacks. Sorry. The only snacks on your list that I can eat are cheese, water, and a little fruit. I have been snacking on cheese and turkey pepperoni. And for a sweet snack, strawberries and cool whip.

Hope you all are doing well. You all know I am a daily, (if not mulitple times a day ;)) weigher, and this morning the scale moved!!!! Let's hope it lasts till Friday!:cool1:
