I still have not lost one bloody pound.
I may drop out of the contest and be here for support. I will still do my exercises and stuff, but I can't weigh myself everyday or every week. It's too depressing to not see the scale moving AT ALL! I will still chip in my $10 though since I said I would, and I try to stand by my word!
You all who are making those scales move are doing SO GREAT! I am really proud of you.
 

Tia- stick with it for TWO more weeks. And if the scale doesn't move and you still want out- then do it. But I think in the next two weeks, the scale will reward you.

OK, lady, no freakin way! You are NOT quitting. I had this friend :rolleyes1 who was on a diet for months and months, and yes, ended up losing weight, but for two months the scale didn't move....BUT those inches DROPPED OFF!!! I know that doesn't sound possible, but it is! Stick with us!!!!!:yay:
 
QUIET today!

Where is everyone? How's your day going?

Mine is going wonderful- my scale is moving down again (told ya- I weigh myself too often!) and I already did my work-out. Now I just need to stay on target with what I eat and maybe get a second work-out in tonight and I'll be set for the day!

Both of those are great suggestions, thanks for reminding me about the jello. I used to eat it all the time & loved keeping sugar free jello in the house because whenever I was craving something sweet I would just go for those. Guess I'll have to stop by the store tonight & stock up. Also, I figure that if I have ice cream sandwiches I would be less likely to overeat since it is so easy to just scoop a ton of ice cream into a bowl & not even know how much you are really eating.

I bought my MNSSHP tickets today for 9/28. So excited :)

After I turned 30 the weight started :sad2: I went into early menapause around 36 and the weight got way out of hand :guilty:

Disney related: What is your favorite restaurant in the parks? Why? DH and I adore BOMA's... we get a bottle of wine and start with the salads.. get a little of each kind, then move on to the soups.. OMG it is sooooo good and we have more fun :dance3:

looks whos talking.... I have not lost a single oz and youre talking about dropping out... i walked my 5 5minute walk and rewarded myself for a relaxing pedicure next door at the track !!:lmao:

Awesome job with the workout already this morning. I wish I was that motivated :) I had intentions of getting up before work to go to the gym, but that didn't work out so well this morning. I hit the snooze button & slept another hour.

Okay, so the QOTD...Before I got pregnant with my son I was really happy about my weight and my body. I wasn't super skinny, I never have been, but I was athletic, in shape and could at least fit into clothes that I liked. I was a size 9 which to some is large, but when you are 5'9" and athletic & naturally muscular, that's pretty good, anyways, I thought so. Well, I kept saying that after DS was born I'd just slip right back to my old size. Yeah right....so about 2 months after my son was born (January '07) and I was trying to fit back into some of my work clothes and couldn't even get them over my thighes or butt, I realized there was a problem. So in January I got totally motivated to lose all of the weight I gained, but the motivation only lasted about 1 week...seriously. It was just too hard for me. I'd never had a weight problem before, never had to really watch what I ate, etc. It was hard work! So I gave up and went back to using the excuse "I just had a baby" to justify my reasons for not being able to wear certain clothes or whatever. Anyway, DS is almost 6 months old now & I feel like I'm on the right track but I think that I struggle every day with seeing myself in the mirror now compared to a year ago. All I can hope is that by exercising more & learning to eat healthy I will be able to get rid of all this weight & become confident & proud of my body again in the next few months. Plus, I want to look good when I'm in Florida for my trip in Sept, don't want to be flabby and wearing workout pants everyday while I'm down there because thats the only thing that seems to fit me these days. :)

Stick with it Tia! Don't let your frustrations make you quit...trust me, I'm right there with you working my butt off and feeling super depressed when I see my # on the scale. It is especially frustrating when you feel like you are giving it your all & working out & eating right & you don't drop any weight, but I figure that in time the scale will budge. Just remember to measure yourself because you are probably losing inches and gaining muscle (muscle weighs more, so the scale probably won't budge at first if you are toning up). Stick with it though, we are all here for eachother :)

I have always thought I was a " bigger girl" - even when truthfully I wasn't.

It was when I got pregnant with my son and gained 60 lbs :scared1: . I don't think I ever really lost all of it. He is now 9 AND I have a 2yo so I have no excuses.

In the past year I have had quite a few health problems and in the midst of all the medication changes and treatments I have gained another 30 lbs in the past few months !

I am so frustrated and unhappy that I weigh as much as I do. I am so glad I have everyone to keep me motivated. The way I am trying to look at it is - even if i only loose a few pounds - at least I am not gaining them !! :cheer2:
It's hard though since I want these pounds to melt off.

Oh - my favorite restraunt in a park in Le Cellier followed by Alfredos - I am SO upset they are closing !! :guilty:
