Watch out Dumbo, There's a bigger Circus coming to Town...Triplets take on the World

OMG Portillo's!!!! I love eating there when I'm visiting family in Chicago. That food is really making the carrots I'm munching on right now seem very unappetizing.

Hmmmm, I'm pretty sure I know where you are going next since I followed along on Facebook but I won't spoil it for others. :thumbsup2

it is my #1 weakness here.. and i am now joining you and carrots..
No it isn't anything compared to a yummy beef sandwich!!!

ha! yes i hope to get to it tomorrow.. the data here is making my eyes cross so i am taking more breaks... :thumbsup2

I have my job #4 tonight i won't be updating tonight.

Hahaha.....oops, not Potbellies??? Well I felt like I had a pot belly when I left, does that count?

Yeah, I didn't take any pictures of the gifts.....any of them! We were just too exhausted. I was at least. Meg's princess bed felt soooooo good that night. And no, the dogs were definitely not pests. I was the non dog lover in the group and they didn't bother me at all! I was very happily surprised :)

PS....I miss Logan :(

Your munchkins are the cutest!!

Oh, and, umm, I just may be able to meet with you and Tess at Disney after all…:rolleyes1 (:cool1::cool1::cool1:)

well I slept right through my alarm this morning. SO i stayed home....

Update on my MIL. she is now in hospice as of last week thursday. The nurse called Tom yesterday and said it would be any day. It's so depressing. we can't handle our animals in pain so we are humanly putting them to sleep. But our humans? we allow to suffer and give them narcotic induced slumber???:confused3
I just don't understand. She is skin and bone no fat whatsoever and now is dehydrated. has been vomiting and diarrhea. I just wish she would go in peace. no human should suffer like this.

Once we had everyone in their perspective places for slumber The sand man came and we were OUT!

The next morning came quickly we were up and getting ready for our next adventure.

so were the dogs. Unfortunately for them. they weren't invited!

jumping in the car like a bunch of adolescents

With NO parental guidance we were off...

:drive:

and stuck.

Traffic... all those responsible people going to their responsible jobs.....

not us... Nugh ugh!

Six Flags Great America! OK OK it's the anti Disney i know but i promise we do make up for it... and we did get flack from our facebook friends about this... :duck:

As D~ stated we needed to be there for "rope drop"

I didn't have the heart to tell her they didn't do ANYTHING special for opening....

Once we were inside we found out first M&G

ooooo-ure fffff-irst ch ch character:

he was cute...

we were on a mission to get to the back of the park and make our way forward
wandering thorough the "lands" we found ourselves in New Orleans POR FQ!!!

FINALLY our first ride!!!!

we each took our own car

D~ taking picture of me...

taking a picture of her!

Suzi not feeling the thrills of this brain scrambler...

but we will see smiles on her in a moment!!!

next stop?

The American Eagle!!! one of the taller wooden roller coasters we of COURSE had to have the first car!!!

At the top about to go...

we survived..

and were famished from scrambling our brains and concurring the wooden Eagle.. so we stopped...

as i am here before i run outta space.

.

How brave are you, taking pictures from the top of the roller coaster?!? I'd totally drop my camera - which is why DH keeps telling me all about the camera strap rules for when he buys me my DSLR :lmao:

I grew up very close to another Great America - I don't think of them as the anti-Disney, they are in two differenct categories. Disney is a theme park and Great America is an amusement park. I love Disney but I do miss the rides you find at an amusement park. As long as it's not too high, I am a thrill ride junkie!

So sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. My father-in-law was at hospice. We thought they were wonderful but it is so hard to watch them linger when there is no quality of life left. Prayers and hugs for you and your family.

I love Six Flags! I miss being able to spend the summer there with our girls. It looks like such a fun day so far!

I am so sorry to hear about your mother in law. Prayers for her and your family.

It has been years since I've been to Six Flags Chicago but I remember the American Eagle well. Love that coaster! Now the brain scrambler I may have had to sit out. Spinney rides don't agree with my stomach at all!

Is there a stand-up coaster there? I have memories of waiting 3+ hours for one and I can't remember if it was there or at King's Island.

Oh, and, umm, I just may be able to meet with you and Tess at Disney after all…:rolleyes1 (:cool1::cool1::cool1:)

YAY!!!!!

Uhm, I don't think I took any pictures until Friday :confused3....

D~ and I waited patiently for the thrill seekers to finish up the American Eagle - I'm not a big fan of roller coasters, or spinney rides, but I did gather my stomach into one piece and rode the brain scrambler...I'm glad we had separate cars though because someone would have been squished. It wasn't too bad, but I would not have been able to do it a 2nd time.:rolleyes1

Good job on the tr Mo!

I'm sorry to hear about Tom's mother. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Also, Shannon will be driving home next week. She'll stop by to pick up Lex for me.....he makes the perfect lap dog and I miss my little Ringo.....:wave2:

LOIS!!!!!!!!! Seriously... What about me???? I wannt meet you too!!!!!!

Loved the update... Sad that I missed it last night...

Adolescents??? Hahaha... Not us...

Yah - that scrambler thingy probably wasn't the best idea... It had my stomach in knots for a good hour.

Now I wish I would have ridden the American Eagle with you all... It doesn't look that scary from the top. I am such a baby though... Yet I will ride anything in Disney - well, almost anything... And look at how CUTE the two of you are on that thing!!! Just adorable!!!!

Crap... Miss you all so much!!! I got an email yesterday... Round trip Msp to Midway... $88... I almost booked it. I wish we could afford to meet up more than once per year.

D~

Great update, Mo. Don't you just love rush hour traffic? And exactly why I take train to work every day!

You gals are much braver than me...I wouldn't have gotten on either one of those rides.

Love the pics...especially one with Porky Pig. :)

Oh no! I didn't realize your MIL was ill. It's so hard to see them linger. Hospice is so wonderful, though. I'm glad they are involved. Prayers to you and Tom and the whole family.

I grew up with Cedar Point close by and that's where I learned to love coasters. It's sort of Six Flags on steroids. I love the Six Flags over Texas! Haven't met a ride I wouldn't try. You girls look like you're having so much fun! An Amusement Park is a fine place to start! Great pics!

Well, I'm going to start my PTR soon and all will be revealed. Dan's work is driving me crazy with changes on these projects he's working on. But as soon as things are settled, I'll be reporting! Soon!:cheer2:

Yes, D~ I want to meet you too, but I think you and the girls are a lot earlier than I'll be there.:sad2:

Anything new on the Disney front? I'll bet those change jars are getting pretty full by now. Won't be long before you can choose your fastpasses. Hope you get everything you want!

Have a great day and I sure hope that sinus thing clears up soon!! Take care.:goodvibes

I came back to add... Even though we talked about it on FB, I didn't want you to think I'd forgotten about your MIL... I am very sorry that she is suffering, and I am so sorry that you must watch her, I agree - it's an inhumane process. (((Hugs))) and prayers for all of you - you continue to be on my mind and in my heart. :lovestruc

D~

So sorry to hear about your MIL, Mo! Will add her to my prayers...and all of you having to witness the sadness.

I LOVE rollercoasters!!!! Brian and I keep saying we want to take an adults only trip up to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. We will do that one of these days before we get too old to enjoy it. :rolleyes1

Yeah, I would not have been able to handle the Scrambler. Things that go round and round make me so sick and discombobulated. Being on a playground merry-go-round as a teenager while my friends turned it...super fast for a really long time...is the closest I have ever been to what felt like a terrible hangover. Scarred me for life. :sad2:

I can not wait until the girls are big enough for a Cedar Point trip! Peyton needs to outgrow her ride fear, but Charlotte is such a dare devil, I think she'll ride whatever she is tall enough for. I haven't been to Cedar Point in ages (sometime in the 90's) but I've seen a couple of specials on TV - they've added some rides that I don't think my fear of heights will let me conquer :scared1: Have you ever been to Kennywood? I see an Ohio amusement park trip in my distant future (I Kennywood is in Pennsylvania, but close enough).

Sorry for the hijack, Mo!

Praying for your mother-in-law and your family today. Hang in there!

Just wanted you to know I am thinking of you... Josh sends his best to you and your family, as well.

D~

Mo, sorry to hear about the MIL, that stinks. I will be keeping your whole family in my prayers
