It was our favorite movie night by far! We had so much fun. :thumbsup2 It helps when you find folks as crazy as you are to share them with. :rolleyes1

I found that Swedish Meatball recipe online, and they were so tasty!

While I AM looking forward to the Ratatouille movie night, it is going to be HARD to top our Muppets movie night.

Well, Brian did join us for the movie night, he just had no time to prepare a talent. :sad1:
He more than made up for it as a heckler... :sad2: :rotfl2:

It was defiinitely our best so far! Of course Walter had to be featured on the wall of fame, he was the star of the movie! :goodvibes Gabe's favoirte song from the movie, which he sings a LOT, is Muppet of a Man. :lmao:

Quackattack's hubby is doing much better. He had a scare with his heart. With a change in his diet and exercise, he is good to go. :thumbsup2

Not sure about the talent, but silliness and confidence abound! :lmao: We had a blast! :goodvibes

Don't worry, I would have cheated too. :rolleyes1 Glad you like what I made. I know some folks go all out and spend quite a bit on the gifts, but we simply could not do that. I did the very best I could on a lower budget, and I was very happy with the way things turned out.

I hope I am in your group, too!!!! I have seen the amazing gifts and prizes you are capable of!! :thumbsup2

We just returned last night from a glorious four days in Gulf Shores, AL. We spent the week in a condo just purchased by Brian's parents. It is a gorgoeous condo...want to see?

Throught the front door:

Living Room:

Dining Room:

Kitchen:

Master Bedroom:

I wanted to show you a close up of the headboard...because my father in law built it from old shutters and barn wood!

He also built these fabulous hooks for each of the two bedroooms for wet swimsuits, towels, etc:

The master bathroom:

Second Bedroom:

Hooks:

Second Bathroom:

It is a second story condo, and has a sizeable back balcony...but I failed to get a picture of it. :sad2:

We look forward to many years of memories using this condo! :goodvibes

I am splitting this up since I took plenty of pictures. We got in REALLY late Tuesday night, but I was awake bright and early ready to get my toes in the sand Wednesday. Beach pictures, day one...

Charity looking MUCH to old:

My girls getting ready to hit the water:

Three generations of beach love:

Gulf State Park Pier:

Just me:

How Gabe spent the WHOLE week:

And how the girls spent the whole week:

My beautiful Jillybean:

And my FAVORITE picture of my hot hubby:

Love this picture I had his mom take:

What a great place! And LOVE LOVE LOVE the headboard and the hooks.

Looks like a great time at the beach. :goodvibes

We started Thursday morning at a more leisurely pace. We ate a light breakfast, because we had BIG plans for lunch!

Has anyone ever heard of Lambert's Cafe? The original Lambert's was opened in Sykeston, MO. They are famous for "throwed rolls"...that's right, they throw your rolls to you at your table! :thumbsup2 There was one opened up in Gulf Shores in the last few years, and that is where we were headed for lunch.

they serve "country style" food. In addition to the fabulous rolls thrown at you, they have "pass around" sides. There are servers who walk around with big pots of sides and big spoons. Sides include: Fried Potatoes and Onions, Mac and Tomatoes, Fried Okra, Black-Eyed Peas, Boiled Cabbage... GOOD STUFF! You can choose to feast on just rolls and pass arounds, or you can order additional entree plates.

The girls shared a plate of chicken tenders, fries, and corn. I did not get a picture of theirs. Gabe is a salad lover, so he chose to have just a side salad with his roll and passarounds:

I tried my hardest to get a picture of the waiter throwing rolls, Brian tried too. Our little point and shoot camera just was not equipped for the task. :sad1:

Here is Gabe with his ginormous roll...which he was SUPER proud of himself for actually catching it in the air:

The girls enjoying lunch:

And did you see those huge travel mugs drinks are served in? :crazy2: If not, here are Gabe and his Nana showing them off:

Some decor from the restaurant:

And finally, the plate of pork chops and fixin's that Brian and I chose to share:

Overall lunch was a hit. The food was delicious, the restaurant was super fun, and we all walked away STUFFED!

We did a bit of shopping at the local outlet mall after that. Then we all headed back to the condo for some time at the pool.

Wow! Your in-laws condo looks awesome! The headboard and shelves your father-in-law made look great! It will be nice to have a place to vacation with your whole family year after year; you'll make many great memories I'm sure. :thumbsup2

I just caught a glimpse of your ticker and your cruise is quickly approaching! :cool1: Have you done on-line check-in yet? I can't wait to hear more about the excursions you are planning. We did an Eastern cruise too and in St. Thomas we ferried over to St. John's and snorkeled at Trunk Bay. OMG! It is beautiful there.

I am soooo excited for you to take this cruise. We moved our cruise (again) so we still have over 500+ days until our next one. It'll be on the Fantasy again but this time we are doing a Western.

What a great place! And LOVE LOVE LOVE the headboard and the hooks.

Looks like a great time at the beach. :goodvibes

It was such a great vacation, just the perfect way to break up our time of waiting until the cruise! :beach:

Yes, our time til the cruise is passing so much quicker now that summer has arrived. In two weeks I am going on a long weekend girl's getaway with my BFF, my mom, and her BFF. :cheer2: Then back to school mayhem will begin. After all that the cruise will be upon us very quickly! :hourglass

We plan to do the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel from St. Thomas to Turtle Cove. We practiced our snorkling while at the beach last week! :thumbsup2

After such a big lunch and some shopping, we spent time at the pool. I took just a couple of pictures since most of my time was spent dipping in the pool to cool off and reading in my lounger. :beach:

And just so that Mo knows her family is not the only circus around:

After pool time, we grilled steaks for dinner then headed to the beach to close out the evening.

A blurry selfie of my Darling and I:

Brian's parents:

Father/son bonding over Gabe's favorite beach activity:

Artsy:

The finished kingdom in the sand:

Friday was the 4th of July!!! pixiedust: We started out the morning riding some bike trails at the Gulf Shores State Park. It was a great morning for it, a bit cool and breezy. :goodvibes I didn't try to get any pictures.

After returning to the room, the girls did patriotic manicures:

We spent time at the pool, and grilled some burgers and hot dogs. No pictures, as we were just living in the moment. :thumbsup2

Brian's parents were going to leave bright and early Saturday morning, so they chose to stay in and pack while we went to the beach for the fireworks. I took lots of sunset pictures on this evening. I didn't even try to attempt fireworks photos with the point and shoot camera. Want to see some gorgeous evening beach photos?

And guess what Gabe did:

My two bathing beauties:

The fireworks were fantastic. We sat reflecting on how blessed we have been. We have witnessed fireworks at Disney, Nashville Sounds baseball games, local parks, the comfort of our own front porch, from around a bonfire with friends, and now the beach. We will soon get to witness them from our place on a cruise ship. BLESSED! ::yes::

Brian's parents were already gone when we finally rolled out of bed Saturday morning. I took NO pictures Saturday.

We got a late start, and spent most of the afternoon at the beach. We even took a picnic lunch, and ate right there in our beach chairs. :cloud9: After leaving the beach we stopped at one of the myriad of souvenier shops to throw some money away on useless gawdy stuff for the kids. :sad2: We went back to the condo late afternoon to clean, do laundry, and start our packing. We ate a smorgasboard of leftovers for dinner, then ended the evening at the pool and back to the Condo to watch the Princess and the Frog. It was a great day just spent enjoying each other. :goodvibes

Sunday morning, Brian and I got up before the sun...I had one last beach bucket list item to do... Sunrise pictures!!! It was just he and I, so no "people" pictures, just God's handiwork on display:

Thus ends four fabulous days of rest and relaxation. We headed back to the condo and got the kids and luggage loaded and headed back home. We are so excited to have this condo in the family. We look forward to many years of making memories! :cloud9: :goodvibes :beach:

Oh my goodness! It looks like you had an amazing trip to Gulf Shores! The condo looks amazing, the beach pictures were beautiful, the family is adorable and the pork chop and rolls look delicious.

Looks like a great trip. That condo is perfect!
I love love love that picture of all of you on the beach......that needs to be blown up and put on a wall. Maybe build a wall just for that picture??? ;)
Thanks for sharing....you have the cutest family ever!

Enjoyed perusing your beach vacay pics :)
Such a cute family :)
I agree with another poster; you need to frame the Family beach pic. Adorable.

Oh Oopsi! There is so much to say! Everything is so so so :cloud9:
Heavenly!!!
the sunset/rise pictures are to die for. The family picture like Suzi said needs to be hung up.. One in your home and the other in the beach house!!! :beach:

As for your Circus act. We are currently hiring for acrobatics if the kids are for hire?
That was seriously COOL! :thumbsup2

So glad you were able to spend an amazing relaxing family getaway!!!

Connie, I loved the rest of the updates.

That place you went for lunch sounds like my dining room table at the holidays with throwing the buns! The food looks yummy.

And what fun at the pool and again at the beach.

I love that pic of the five of you facing the ocean. :thumbsup2

What wonderful memories you are going to make over the years.
