Well, I sure know how to clear out a room!
My kids just got off the bus, and they came running into the office, yammering about this and about that.
The oldest was studying something in science, and they had 5 cameleons their class had adopted. Now that the class doesn't need them anymore, the teacher is trying to get rid of them. A firm "absolutely not" to him, and he was out of here, "Oh, man!"'ing the whole way.
The little one started with a list of demands (not unusual), and I made him stop and asked him how his day was. He kept up with the demands. I ignored them and asked again. He growls at me, "It was sine!" (he has a hard time pronouncing F's). I ask him what he did. He just sighs and walks away.
Talking to your kids is now an effective way to get rid of them. Nice!
