Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Can I hide in here, away from all the politics? I sorta followed Happy Day here.

I thawed venison sausage, so I guess i'm making that for dinner. Not sure if I should make breakfast stuff with them or scalloped poatoes kind of stuff. Thoughts?

Welcome!
I vote you let someone else cook and go out! Scalloped potatoes sound yummy. You remind me that I have Venison summer sausage in the freezer still from last year. i need to call my brother for more.

No, no--NOT starting it! But I DO have to run by the grocery store (we are in charge of preschool snack tomorrow), so I am wondering what to buy...and if I have everything here to make whatever it is I am buying. Nevermind. You are right--it is WAY too early for this! :upsidedow
I was thinking of making Chicken Enchilada Soup. I found a recipe that claims to be like Chilis. It's been sitting on my counter for days but the 70+ degree weather doesn't seem soup-y to me. I vote tacos for dinner. cheap, quick and easy:thumbsup2

Morning,

I am trying to hide here too. Hopefully this will die down to a few threads in a few days instead of the whole first page.

Welcome aboard! Don't mind the dust bunnies and all the kids.

The Winner called and wanted me to pull out the hamburger of the freezer he is going to make burgers tonight. Hopefully it will not be raining when it's time. We are expecting rain today and possibly snow by Saturday.

Hooray for Rachel Ray! She has Tim McGraw on. I am so happy to have something else to focus on.

Welcome, I am having spare ribs tonight. Exciting huh? I get to do out two kids of BBQ sauce on it, one for the real people and the sauce that tastes good!, and one for Atkins man, that tastes lousy:sick:

Do you have any to spare ;)

Then I won't have to cook! :thumbsup2

I was gonna make the soup, but I don't have any masa harina. :confused3 I don't even know what that is, yet. Google, here I come! Now I'm either makiing a stromboli or something with chicken.

ETA:
Q. What is masa harina?
A. Masa harina is the traditional flour used to make tortillas, tamales, and other Mexican dishes. Literally translated from Spanish, it means "dough flour," because the flour is made from dried masa, a dough from specially treated corn.

Consider this your cooking lesson for today! Now go out to eat!

It is only an informative lesson. No cooking is necessary. The post was just so you can answer the $1000 for Alex on Jeapordy, nothing more. I mean who would even know where to look for that stuff in a grocery store :confused3 Go to Chili's and have them take care of it :thumbsup2

Okay if the Warden sees me reading about cooking he will think I plan on doing it:rotfl2:

Welcome Neko!

Back from the store--I bought the stuff to make spaghetti or pork chops (one today, one tomorrow), which means I also have the stuff for tacos. Hmmmm... However, DH is working from home again tomorrow (are you freaking kidding me??) so I may make him take us out then.

Oh, and cooking tips on a Loser thread? Blasphemy!

I actually knew what masa was. I have even been shown how to make it.

I was a winner yesterday and made homemade stew. It's a tomato based beef stew, using fresh veggies I cut up myself. But then I added a little something (you know me, use your imagination) and made it original and different.

But today, I will be total Loser, because we're having left overs.

Probably pork chops tonight, but since I have to re-visit the grocery store (:headache: ), I may pick up some chicken instead. I have two new recipes for chicken: Key Lime Chicken and Tandoori Chicken. Can't decide which to try first...

No, but DH has decided to work from home AGAIN for the next two days. Working in the kitchen is a MUCH better alternative than spending time with him at this point...:sad2:

It's rainy here and supposed to get cold. I sleep better when it's cold at night though.

I should make cookies, but I also need to roast a beef today for dinner and that takes hours. Mt Washmore is threatening to overflow and take out the surrounding villages...and I should clean hamstergirl's room.

Why am I just not motivated to do any of that?

Because you are a Loser, Neko! Congratulations, you have found your true calling! :rotfl:

Morning--I'm on cup 2 also. I'm just slower than you.

For losers you all sure are talking a lot about cooking.

Mt. Washmore!:lmao: Love it. I hav a mini one building on my laudry room floor (Because it's so difficult to put things INTO the hamper:confused: )

I have chicken and I have beef tenderloin what should I do with it? I'm thinking white chili tonight.
