Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

I am getting my carpet and tile cleaned today. It has been at least a year, probably more like 2.
Then a friend is coming over for some wine.
Have a good day losers.

Hi all.

Another long night, but the fever broke today (for the most part). Most importantly he's back to his old self.

My mom just left.:cool1:

We're going to try to go see a movie tonight as a family. We're taking the kids to see Iron Man....we wanted to see it first to make sure it wasn't too intense. Tomorrow we're all going to see Speed Racer (shhhh....we're skipping church. I'm such a sinner)

Lara, I'm glad your son is better. Let me know how Speed Racer is. DS6 reminds me about once an hour that the movie is CURRENTLY PLAYING and when are we going to see it.

Lara, this is such great news. I went back to the LL after I signed off because I forgot to tell you I would say a prayer for you guys. You were already gone to bed, poor thing. I did, I hope that he continues to get better. This is a frightening thing for you to have to go through every month..God Bless!!

Just thought I would post this for everyone

Happy Mother's Day Y'all. Hope someone does something nice for you today!

Lara, I'm so sorry about your baby's set back. Sending prayers to both of you..

Hope every loser here at least gets an hour of peace and quiet, and not so much of a mess in the kitchen (after the kids make you breakfast). I wa actually lucky, got breakfast in bed (and it was good), cards, Trace Adkins cd, and the kids cleaned my deck furniture for me. :cool1:

Yes Happy Mother's Day!

Went to church, got lovely cards and a digital picture frame, so now I need to figure out how the heck to use that, went to Barnes & Noble, spent a fortune, and just had Wendys, and then later we will go to my mom's.

Before I was a Mom

I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,

the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Happy Mother's Day to the Loser Moms and Losers' moms and even a Loser's wife or two!

Lara, hope your little guy is better today:hug:

it's been a good day so far. I got to sleep in til after 9 and then had breakfast (not in bed, but it was easier to eat in the kitchen). Went to the local garden place and got my flowers and veggies to plant. Hope every one else has a good day!:cool2: :flower3:

Happy Mother's Day :flower3:

FE and the kids made me breakfast this morning. Well the kids tried to help :cutie: He was gonna take the kids to the park so I could have some quiet time to myself, but it's been raining all day so he just took them with him to get his haircut and then to the exchange to pick up a few things.
Then we are gonna go out to eat :cool1:

#1DS made me something at school that was so cute it brought tears to my eyes. The twosome wrapped up two of their stuffed animals and gave them to me saying that they were my presents. I'm sure by tonight they will be asking for them back.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day & a certain little boy is feeling better :flower3:

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY LOSERS

I have had the best Mother's Day ever. DS is in the Army and is now somewhere in the Middle East. I made up my mind I would not cry because I could not talk to him today.

During lunch my cell phone rang, I did not recognize the number, and it was my DS calling to wish me a Happy Mothers Day. Forget about not crying. But these were tears of joy.

Just needed to share.

Thank you, and happy Mother's Day to you and your families as well, my fellow Losers. :goodvibes

I had a good day yesterday, but I am gonna need to take Katie out and teach her to catch with her pretty mink baseball mitt. I remembered the camera...but forgot to make sure a memory card was in it. Oops. She was being especially goofy at her game yesterday, we think she took a shine to her buddy for the game, also name Katie. Then we had lunch, Cici's again. Katie loves it there as it's the only place we actually let her eat a bowl full of marinara sauce like it's soup. I did discover she'll eat raw baby carrots and grape tomatoes from the salad bar, if I just chuck them in the bowl of marinara sauce...which is good, I guess. Odd, but good.

Then we had to make a mad dash from one end of town to the other, to get to my friend's book signing. There wasn't many people there, but the crowd did grow as we were there. We stuck around for two hours, as DS was having so much fun listening and talking to Heather and her other fans. We got our books signed (plus an extra one for a neighbor who liked the first book but couldn't join us due to a prior commitment) and ate cookies and just had a great time. We even got Heather to sign our t-shirts and the hoodie I won in her drawing. She's just the greatest!

Dh was so sweet, he did his best to occupy Katie the whole time we were there. I would have liked to have stayed a little later, but Katie was at the absolute end of her tolerance to stay in that bookstore any longer. She made out like a little bandit though, getting Dh to buy her a magnetic blackboard/dry erase board and two packets of glitter pens. (She's getting good at the petulant little stomp....)

Anyway, this morning I slept in a bit. Then Dh and I made a mexican chicken dinner, which was very very good. Katie's been doing what she can to be the biggest pain. She spit water all over the living room carpet while DH and I were applying a privacy screen to her window (she torn the inside one off, we had to put it on the outside of the window this time), she poured a half a bottle of Windex on the carpet in her bedroom, she stole and drank Dh's NA beer, locked the cat out on the balcony, tried to destroy DS' room....

She's not being a good girl.

The boy is at least making himself scarce, reading Heather's second book.

Hi y'all. We have had an OK Mother's Day..They took me out to dinner last night at my request so we could avoid the crowds today. Went to Olive Garden, I havent' been there in years. I LOVE their eggplant parm. Everything was good. This morning they took me out to breakfast, nothing fancy-the Huddle House. (think Waffle House) The service was God-awful, took us over an hour. And the boys were fighting the whole time..bad combination. Then later we went to see Iron Man. We enjoyed that, too. My goodness, when did matinees go up to as much as an evening movie?? I don't get out much.

TK, my boys seem to sense special holidays like Mother's day and choose that to act their absolute worst. I have been fighting with them all day long. And they fight with each other if their not misbehaving with me. Glad when they get back to school tomorrow.

No one is hungry for dinner because we ate too much popcorn. I am the one that walks in with a family of 4 with two tupperware containers and buys the refillable tub of popcorn. I immediately dump part of it into a large container for DS10 who doesn't like butter then hand it back to the worker and ask to fill it back up and put butter on it. Then when seated, pour some into the other container for DS8...no passing the tub, they all have their own containers. Oh yeah, and I am one of those that brings their own candy and Capri Sun so I don't have to pay those outrageous candy prices. My new purse is just big enough for two of each...I love that Walmart carries the movie sizes candy boxes for $.97..:thumbsup2

I hope to talk to some of ya later..LL

OH yeah, I cleaned DSs' bedroom. All the crap is in laundry baskets under their beds or in the hallway. The hallway is full on one side with everything I pulled out of the guestroom..I still have a long way to go.

TTFN..
