I 'concocted' a new dinner tonight and it was super yummy! I posted it on the other side...totally WW friendly (for my one starchy meal a day!)

I was going to put DD to bed early tonight since she stayed up late tonight and still refuses to nap, so (of course) she fell asleep on the floor while I was doing dishes...sigh... :headache:

Hi Shay, welcome home!!

Rough week this week for me. 11th anniversary of my daughter Shannon's death. Falls on Saturday, which is the day she actually died on. I keep gettiing sideblinded by crying jags off and on, its just the way it goes sometimes, you just can't tell then WHAM! one smacks you in the side of the head :sad2:

I have lost very close family members, and I still can't imagine what it is like to lose a child. I hope you and your family can find a way to celebrate her life on Saturday. I will be thinking of you, and saying a prayer, too.

I made microwave taquitos for 2 of my kids. Does that count as dinner? If I can't nuke it you don't get to eat it LOL.

I am bored out of my everliving skull, that is what I get for doing so many chores lately, there isn't much else left to do. It is basketball playoffs right now and unless I drag my laptop upstairs I am out of luck on watching tv at a decent hour. At least I will get to see Idol played back later tonight.

Mktrop glad he doesn't have a fever, lets keep it that way.

This august 8th will be the 12th anniversary of us losing our son Spencer. You think you are doing fine and then all of a sudden it hits you again so hard you can barely breathe. You never get over it you just get through it. I will be keeping Shannon in my thoughts and your family as well and hope you make it through this week and Saturday and cherish your memories and find some peace.

My grandma is really sick right now and I just feel so disconeccted about the whole thing. I am very sad but it just isn't the same as losing a child. She lost my godmother at age 30 and I know she will be with her again after she has been with all of us for all these years. So I take comfort in that actually.

Luna, I cannot truly understand what you are feeling, but I'm sure that it is extremely painful. I wish that I had the words to fix your pain, but unfortunately, I do not. I'm sure that your daughter was beautiful and sweet, and she was lucky to have you for her mother. I only hope that through the pain of re-living her death, you can find the peace to celebrate her life. God bless you. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you. :hug:
