Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

I did start a new thread, even though I said i wouldn't. I hope y'all will forgive me. I just wanted to spread the word about the marrow drive thing in my sig. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1808766

Morning all.

So glad you're back, Kellie!

 :grouphug:  to everyone who needs it.

I need a blankie today. It's fuh-fuh-fuh freezing here for almost May!!!! Just now broke 40 degrees!

Check it out...I got a new tag.

LUCKY YOU!

Monique-

SHAY! YAY! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Hope you are feeling better today and actually ATE something (even a pink donut) for breakfast!  So happy to see you here today!

DD and I had a 'slumber party' last night. We do that every once in awhile, but she has to 'earn' them by at least TRYING to go on the big girl potty. So, five days of trying (with one success!) earned her a slumber party. Basically, she gets to stay up late, eat popcorn (in bed--a big rule breaker around here!) and usually watch a movie (late start last night, so we watched Noggin instead--she didn't care!) and then she gets to sleep in my room. It is a super cheap way for me to reward her and it's fun 'girl time' for us while DH is traveling.

Okay, that's all that's on my radar so far today...I'll be hanging out today. Window guy is coming to do final measurements so that the new ones can be ordered and we need to run to the grocery store. I am guessing only one of those things will happen today, but who knows...:confused3

:rotfl:

Mktrop, hope your son feels better soon. My oldest daughter also had the same thing for about 8 weeks off and on. We have had other things to deal with then lice, actually worse then lice, I will let you imagine that has reocurred 3 times for my same oldest daughter.

I had the day from hell today. I found out someone had my husband atm card number and took out over 500 bucks last month and over 1400 a few days ago. Yes we don't always check our balance or acct info. I have given up doing the bills and my husband works long hours. But now I will have my mom check. We also put her as a signer on my account in case anything worse happens with my eyes. Which do lately seem to be getting worse. Not fun times.

Bottom line with the bank issue is WAMU is not helpful in person, everything has to be done online and over the phone but they should give us a provisional credit back within 5 days so we won't starve this month.

Also my grandma is doing really bad. She lives a few hours away from me but I may be making a trip down and I hear she doesn't have enough energy for visitors right now. It is very sad. But having lost my son it doesn't feel as bad as maybe it should for me. I don't know if that makes sense?

Moring Losers
How is everyone today?
:cool1: :cool1:   :yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Nice one! That is an excellent tag-worthy statement. Of course, I, too, have a the maturity level of a middle schooler so I laughed!

OK--I have the other kid home sick today. I am thinking he thought it unfair that his sister got the day off yesterday and so he is "sick". I am making him stay in bed and 'sleep'. He's getting bored so I'll probably get in the shower soon and shove him off to school. He just hates the idea that his sister got to come home early yesterday:sad2: . I would've made him go but I do like to be sure that it's for real and I don't send a puking kid to school. It's not like he's missing anything anway. I swear, they stop working hard way too early. There's almost a month of school left and all he's got to do is a Hall of President's next week(he's FDR) and a little busy work! Drives me crazy.

Eek..I forgot. Laundry today!!! Gotta make sure Katie's dressed like a big Cheeto tomorrow!

She likes to wear orange and they are going on a class trip to the zoo. I want to make it REALLY hard to lose her, YKWIM? Can anyone think of something for to make her for lunch? She doesn't do sanwiches, Mostly she likes mac & cheese, taco bowls (layered beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream) or spaghetti..or should I just plan to kiss a ziplock bowl goodbye and give her what she likes?

I awlsy dress mine in orange too, esp when they go in those big mazes at indoor playgrounds.

Ok everyone knock on wood, it is 11:30 and NO FEVER!!!!!!! I am keeping him home from his afternoon enrichment class just to be sure. Maybe that 12 hours of sweaty sleep helped:confused3

Would she eat her "taco bowl" on a tortilla? Then you could just wrap it in plastic wrap and not worry about the bowl. However, if you want the trip to be a bit more stress-free for her (since she will already not be in a regular routine and all), just plan on the ziploc bowl not coming back...:cutie:

Oh she'd eat a burrito alright...she's just gross when she does. Think Bluto from Animal house, cramming more than you thought possible into that mouth. :scared: I'd rather save her aide and classmates that image, if I can.

She really is a fun kid and love her to pieces. :lovestruc

Does she have to bring a lunch box?

Would the taco shell break?

Is she a fruit/veggies type of kid?

I would just pack cut up fruit - apples, oranges, grapes, a banana or whatnot
cut up veggies - celery, carrots, cherry or grape tomatoes, red peppers
whatever you have in the house for those items

a roll, bread & butter, or some crackers - gold fish, popcorn, chips, pretzels - type of thing

and a drink.

Easier than trying to eat a "meal" and most kids are too busy/occupied anyway to sit still and eat so quick finger foods are great for school trips.

She has to bring a "sack lunch".

Her usual lunch contains all of the following; bowl of entree, raisins, fruit snacks, slim jim, fresh fruit or jello, cheese stick and a thermos of water.

This is not the kind of kid you'd want to miss a meal, btw. She's jumped on the backs of other kids for a mickey d's cheeseburger and melts down in a big way when she's hungry. She also may be on edge to begin with as she's resisitant to schedule changes.

So, I'm planning a can of carbonated lemon water, fruit snack, watermelon, raisins, cheese stick, slim jim.....and? I'm thinking I'll be kissing a bowl bye-bye.
