Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Apparently it is Take Your Child To Work Day.

Who knew? :confused3

We had no idea about that :sad2: Man I know #1DS would have loved to go with FE to work, well except for the part where he sits in a response truck for 2 hrs on the flight line.

yay health services has the cream. I have an 11:40 appt, so hopefully i'll be in a tad less pain soon. and ill be able to sit down. One of the guys is coming to take me because I can't even walk to my car. Thank goodness for friends.

I don't think they make a big deal of that anymore. Hope DS doesn't hear about it--he'll do anything to get out of school!

I bought tickets to see the Symphony tribute to John Williams (Composer--star wars, indiana jones, superman, etc.) and they were $258 for the 4 of us!:scared1: And they talk all the time about making the arts accesible?? Now, I could have gotten the $35 tickets instead of the $60, but still. It woul've been $158 for those! I stayed away from the $80 tickets though. Maybe I should've gotten those and saved $100. But we are not usually symphony people and I thought we'd do it up---dress up, make an evening out of it. WHo knows if we'll ever go back?

I am now angry because I am thinking about affordable things for a family of 4 to do, and there really isn't much around here. It's very frustrating.

Try living in a college town!! We don't even have a YMCA!!! There is one McDonald's with an outdoor playplace.

It's great for young people without kids - DH asked what we used to do BP (Before Pregnancy) I responded "Drink".

 You poor thing.

Poor Katie:wizard: wishing you well, when i was young we used to used white vinegar to let the heat out, it seemed to work and it seemed to help the pain, tho you smell like a hogie...

I still haven't left to go do my errands. I went to the "place" and caught up on some stuff.

well I called my mom. Shes a nurse. I have to go get burn cream. I have a small amount here, but I need like a Costco sized amount. If the health office doesnt have it, I probably have to go to the E.R., unless she can get some from one of her doctors she works with. I've never ever ever been this burnt before. Its my entire body. I cant even sit down to pee because it hurts to bad to stand up again. That makes it interesting for all the water im drinking.

How do you actually feel, besides the burn. Do you feel dizzy or anything. I dunno what sunpoisoning does to you..Glad you have your own personal nurse!

Good luck withthat one! All of mine have that selective hearing, too. Dh and I tested them by calling quietly "dinner" or "who want an oreo?" and they come running from the basement.
Sometimes I think yelling makes them tune out, anyway, but that doesn't stop me from yelling!;) :rotfl:

.

I just yell louder.

Do you have a bunch of kiddos running around your office?

Have you thought about Disney World? I have heard it's VERY affordable!:rotfl:

:woohoo:

OK, I AM going out now. bye y'all

Yeah, WDW is expensive, but really, when you think about what you get, I don't think so. You can really do a budget trip to WDW and still have a great time. You don't have to stay at GF to have fun. You can go to POP during FDining or soemthing. Of course, there's the flying there.... Ok--I admit it WDW is worth more to me than a symphony or a AAA baseball game or the other stuff we have here.

back from dr. strong pain reliever and more burn cream. im going to attempt to make myself challah bread french toast to make myself feel better.

Just a warning - standing over the stove with a burn of that degree will hurt. You might want to skip the cooking thing.

What's up, my loserific friends?

it was certainly an experience. I stood very very far back from the stove. I didn't feel the heat from it at all, so yay.

I'm still BORED!!!!!!!!
But I'm not doing any big time cleaning today & NO I won't clean any of your houses either

Did enough stuff this morning with the errands, so now taking it easy till baseball practice.

You know I agree with you on all that! We have done budget and we have done splurge(for us...not concierge here..) We don't care that much about fine dining at this point. OK, I prefer splurge, but DH is not hot on WDW to begin with, so if he ever knew exactly how much a trip cost, he would hit the roof. He prefers to live in ignorance of that. We buy our 10 day non expiring/park hopping, PLUS waterpark tickets and we use them over a period of 3-4 trips. We can drive there in 5 hours, so even though it is still a lot of money, they bang per buck can't be beat!!

Which one is the lucky one DH or Marlin?
:)
hummmmm- Well Marlin gets to run around the whole building (my Inlaws own the company) and gets lots of loving from the employees and the guests....but usually by the end of the day, the husband is calling to see when I get off of work to go pick him up!:lmao: But if Marlin was with me, he would be a perfect angel!:lovestruc

Marlin's the dog, right?

yep....My avatar

I was at the beach yesterday morning Natalie. No tanning. Regular ol' sun. I have to get up to leave for work in 2 mintues. Babysit. Outside in the sun. Ugh. Plus, the cream turns my skin black, so I look REALLY awesome.
