Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

:yay: My 2 oldest already started school 3 weeks ago :cool1:
Though I am counting the days till vacation in Sept so I can sleep in again, I miss summer vacation already :lmao:

Oh day camp sounds fun.

I think my kids are just sick of being near each other. I swear I expect to hear, "He's breathing!" any day now.

My youngest starts preschool on the 25th.

My middle guy is going to start Kindergarten. He will go half days for the first 2 weeks and then go to full days. He is excited to start.
 Mine are so up in one anothers business, and they don't need to be. Ugh! I get the "he is staring at me" or "I can hear him chewing" etc...etc....
I can't even believe it is August. The summer is going quick.

Evenin Losers!

Having a blast here....we are on day 3 of football practice  Are we having fun yet? Well, Michael is but 4 days a week Monday through Thursday 6PM-8PM and lets say Tori is well being a little difficult about staying there for 2 whole hours :headache: How many times do you think a 6 year old can say "I'm bored" in 2 hours :scared1: Today she work up with an earache and it doesn't seem to be getting better....oh joy, looking forward to literally dragging her screaming across the pediatricians parking lot to only be told she has to take the dreaded pink medicine :scared: Have you ever seen a person give a mountain lion a bath :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Well, that will be me trying to get pink medicine in her!!! :headache: And we've tried the pills, flavoring the medicine, bribing, demanding, and so on....try to tell a determined child she HAS to take it or else :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I do not see pleasant days ahead :guilty:

Oh IAHD! My DD hates that stupid pink stuff too. We finally are able to do the pills. Once I had it flavored with 2 different flavors and I swear it was the only time she took it well. It cost me $20.00 to do it on top of the copay so we never did it that way again. I have been known to threaten with a shot instead of the pink medicine. They only give a shot for strep though. Shhh don't tell her.

My middle guy has to go get a physical and eye exam for school too. I scheduled them for the same day. He gets his eyes dilated first and then has to get 4 different shots. I am so NOT looking forward to that. Poor guy I feel so bad for him already. I believe I too will be wrestling some kind of animal by the time we are done.

My youngest is going to get his eyes checked too. It's free as long as they are under 4 years old. It should be fun to see how well he will tolerate all of it.

Good morning! Can't let the political threads take over. Had to give a bump! Go losers!

Morning Losers! Living up to the name today...still in jammies, still drinking coffee, still sitting here...:surfweb:

DD is a crankbutt today. Nothing new. Sick of it. Now I am cranky too.

Nothing else new--should there be?:confused3

We bought the boys a tshirt from the store at Star Tours. The one with Mickey in the Luke Skywalker pose like the original movie posters? I washed them for the first time last night. When I cleaned off the dryer screen, the lint was all sparkly from the glitter on the new shirts. I thought of you immediately. :goodvibes

:lmao: DD & I are looking forward to school to start because we get to sleep in! This practice at 6am all summer was rough. Band camp every morning at 7:30 is better and pretty much the same time as school. Mine go back the 19th WooHoo!!

Me too. DH took DD this morning and she's riding home with a friend so DS and I are still in jammies. Isn't it awesome?

:rotfl: I am glad I am not the only one! I am still in my jammies, and just ate a big hunk of chocolate cake.
Any idea why your DD is cranky?

Awww...thanks sweetie! You don't get much glittery dryer lint with boys, so I hope you enjoyed it! :goodvibes

Di, she has not yet recouped from our trip last week and this whole "putting her back on schedule" thing seems to be backfiring on me. She doesn't want to sleep at night (when she finally does, she wakes up several times crying--then I am up too), she won't nap (if she does, then she REALLY won't sleep at night) and she is up at dawn--6:30 this morning after finally falling asleep after 10:00 last night. She scared me so bad this morning (about 4 am) with her screaming and crying, that I actually got hiccups from waking up so quickly! THAT really ticked me off! I wanted to go back to sleep and just kept hiccuping...

She has gymnastics this afternoon, so I am planning to leave early on the hopes that she will fall asleep on the way. I will just park and let her sleep until it's time to go in. Wish me luck...:wizard:

I hope she napped for you and was in a good mood when she woke up! Forgive for seeming like an outsider, but did you go to WDW?? I know I have been even more than a loser and haven't kept up with any boards :( I am starting to get the itch to go to WDW again, so that is why I started checking things out on the DIS again.
I like my sleep... A LOT! I feel for you with her waking up at night. Hopefully she will get back to normal soon!!!!

Evening all,

Can't let all the other threads think they are winning.

RV, I'm so happy that you got to experience the dryer lint. How was your trip?

Di, I so love your avatar that dog is so cute.

MN, hopefully she will get some sleep soon. Christopher is the same way if he doesn't get enough sleep. Up early and crabby and then refusing to go to bed. School will start soon so that will tire him out pretty quickly.

I turned in my job application today. I'll try not to be too much of a Winner.

She napped and was happy when she awoke, but it didn't last. Hopefully, she will sleep better tonight but I doubt it. We ran by Michaels Craft store and they had their Halloween displays up. I think the moving displays spooked her a bit, so we'll see if she has nightmares.

We go to WDW next month--WDW, then Universal/IOA and SeaWorld. Even got ressies for the luau at SeaWorld. Hope it's good! Looking forward to the trip, but it will be whirlwind. (DD will be a cheerleader for MNSSHP. :cheer2: ) The trip we just returned from was Cincinnati. We had fun, but DD got completely worn out. (My cousin has a 4 year old boy and the two play GREAT together non-stop...)

Di, I am just glad you are back to hanging out...

Morning Losers. I just woke up about 1/2 hour ago. I am such a loser.... I must get showered and dressed before noon today, though:lmao:

Thanks! That is Lily. I got another Cocker Spaniel, but I am too big of a loser to try to figure out another avatar with both dogs in it  I need to. Laney, the new girl, is a cutie too.
Good luck with your job. Where are you applying?

Awww thanks! I promised myself (and my ever spreading thighs) that once the kids got back in school, I would start walking to make a difference. I can already see that not happening! :lmao:
I am jealous that you are going on vacation, but happy for you! :cool1: CUTE idea with the cheerleader! Have you done a MNSSHP before? We did our first last October. The kids loved it!

Morning all,

We have big plans for the water park today. The kids slept really good yesterday so they are rearing to go.

We are meeting some people there so it should be fun.

I am applying at a place that helps teach life skills to developmentally challenged high school kids. The hours are great and they will keep with my kids school schedule. I'm not sure if I'm ready for such a big commitment. I am a Loser at heart and it seems like my week will be all gone before it even starts.

The good part of it is that we can save for more vacations. I really want to go to Disneyland again. The faster I get working the faster we can go.

MN, my kids hate the Halloween stuff. They don't get nightmares but they make sure when we are in the store that we aren't going near it. The gory displays are the ones that really bother them. We just usually go to the costume aisle early in the season and call it good.

Nope--we haven't done it yet. We did MVMCP this past December though. We enjoyed it, but didn't get to do a lot. My biggest mistake was buying DD a balloon first thing. She didn't want to put it down, so we couldn't go on rides, shows, etc., because that thing was HUGE! This time if she wants one, it is on the way out the door! ;) Learned my lesson! :rotfl:

BTW-DD slept until almost 10 am today, save for an hour between 6-7 when we were dealing with yet another bloody nose. I have put in a call to the doctor, as this is the fifth one in three weeks. Tired of having my kid wake up looking like "Carrie!" :scared1:

Water park sounds fun!!! I hope you have a great time. Hey, the job sounds perfect! I honestly need to work more :( I have the same idea as you...save for more vacations! I really want to to go WDW asap ;)

Yikes! Do you think it is due to the air being dry?
We got a TON of candy at the party, so be ready ;)
