Lara--You might very well have strep if your DS had it--better run to urgent care for a test, just in case. You'd hate to be home this weekend and it's even worse. Other strep symptoms are tummy ache/nausea and head/neck aches. I have only had strep once and I was never so miserable!

Queenie--hope your trip is great. Sounds like lots of fun. That new ride was supposed to be on the Today show but I couldn't hang around to watch it.

Gotta finish cleaning today--yuck! Have a good day losers!

Went this morning to the commissary with FE and the 2 little ones. Went as well as it could. Now in a little bit we are gonna pick up #1DS from school and heading to Walmart to get a few other things for dinner.

I haven't been online as much either. We also have nice weather if you like 100 degrees and wildfires. I forgot to turn my air on either and it was 85 downstairs by the time I turned te AC on.

My vegas trip is now really up in the air. They switched my husbands schedule and it looks like we will have to drive there and back in one day to meet some friends. That is a long day so I am kind of iffy on it.

Jr olympic qualifiers are tomorrow. It is a huge deal amd I am pretty nervous. I hope they do well.

And the project from HELL is turned in today. All my daughter has left to do is a powerpoint presentation. A powerpoint in 5th grade? Really? She says she knows how to do it but I bet my son will have to help. I have a daughter a year younger and am not really looking that forward to next school year with both of them doing such intense school work.

I am also starting to freak out about my eyes. They seem to be getting worse lately, which is to be expected but it is still heartbreaking for me. That is why I havent really popped in the LL because I can't read much over there. Glasses dont really help me that much. Everyone I know thinks if I just slap on a pair of glasses all will ne well but thats not the way it works. For some reason the font on the Dis is easier to read for me.

I hope everyone has a great weekend with nice, but not too hot weather.

I haven't dropped off the face of the world entirely. We have started the very slow process of weaning DS6 from one of his seizure meds. I am a great big bundle of nerves. I'm trying to stick to light and fluffy stuff around here to keep me from pulling my hair out.

Last week of school is coming up and they have fun stuff planned for each day. Monday is hawaiian luau day (they'll watch Lilo & Stitch). That means I have to iron DS6s tropical shirt. He only has 3 or 4 shirts that ever need ironing, but that is one of them. I hate to iron. I never iron.

Afternoon Losers...I am in and out today. Going to a bridal shower in about 15 min. It promises to be very fun. Went overboard on the beach themed gift. Got the bride a beach tote, oversized beach towel, sand toys, a bucket and shovel, beach ball and margarita glasses with rimming salt. Yeah...overboard I say.

Yesterday was one of the worst I've had in a long while. After "discussiing" wiith dh about how he "forgot" to tell me he had set up payments from the online banking, I felt crappy and discovered I had my period. Haven't had one since Nov, so of course considering my age, thought they were all over. Then when I got on the computer to log on to Dis, I lost the internet, phone and digital tv. I went to call dh to get # to call Comcast, but cell phone had NO money on it, Ds then came home with 3 C's on interim. There's only 19 days left of school, so how do we make these up (But they're C+'s MOM). Today started with comcast out again. Then when it finally came on, dd (22) found out she failed another college class, which made her gpa so low, she won't be eligble for financial aid and we can't pay for it. And DD has told her that he won't pay for a wedding unless she graduates. Life sucks. Thanks for letting me vent.
