I'm hoping my budget board buddies can help or point me in the right direction. We are taking a trip next year to Washington, DC with my father. He has no large intestine so has a colostomy bag. After almost losing him, we are beyond grateful to still have him. Our 16 year old DS wants to go to DC with grandpa as they are both interested in American history especially WWII and aircraft and want to visit the museums. My dad has to carry a bag with his medical supplies in it, mostly for emergencies, and a small water bottle to clean the pouch which he does about every 2 hours. I've been told you can't bring bags into the museums or the capital building. He does have a card that says his bag is for medical reasons. Does anyone know if he would be allowed to bring his bag with him into the museums and capital? What about if we wanted to visit the White House? I don't want to get there and be disappointed he can't really do anything. Thanks for your help.
