You use your KTTW card. Here's the instruction sign (just so you can get familiar with it)

And the touch pad. First select whether you want a washer or dryer

And then which one (washer A or B) or (dryer 1,2,3, or 4) It will indicated which ones are already in use

Then you go to the machine to select the water temp/cycle/etc. Load machine and hit start.

One note, the touch pad is a bit slow sometimes, so be patient.

From personal experience last September... the machines are small and do not work well. They are like the stackable washers and dryers you find in apartments or dorms.
The clothes that I put into 2 separate dryers 3 times were still damp when I finally gave up and took them back to our cabin.

If I could have done it over, I would have paid for the laundry services they offer since I am quite sure they are not using apartment size washers and dryers like the ones noted above. :)

I'm sorry you had that experience. We used the washers and dryers last September on 2 different cruises on the Fantasy and had no issues.

Yes it was pretty difficult as that was the one night that the waters were a bit rough and I probably should have just stayed in the cabin and read a book. lol
I really still have NO idea why I even thought that I should do laundry on my vacation knowing that it would just be easier to do at home.
I blame it on the Disney magic that you feel when you are on board and figured that my fairy Godmother would have stepped in to take care of it for me. :)

We used the washers & dryers - at an odd time. We didn't have any problems. However, the people that were washing at the busy time were having problems. Maintenance was called.

we also find they don't work very well.
Dryers are down right worthless. normal takes 3-4 cycles to get them dry and that's a small load (though one pair of jeans are apart of that load)

we opted out of using them after trying them a number of times. First time we thought we must have got "bad" machines...so we went to another laundry room...and the experience was the same
tried multiple machines..and all give very poor results

while it does cost more...but we have had positive experiences sending our clothes out to get washed. Not having to set a timer and go back and check your machine...and wondering if I have to do another cycle...it's worth the extra cost to us.
gives us more time to spend doing the things we want on the cruise vs running back and forth dealing with the laundry

Wow, I'm super glad you posted this. Does anyone know if there are any Cold Water settings for these machines? I'm have to seriously rethink my Transatlantic packing plans if I can't do a cold water wash. :(
A cold water wash is 30 degrees Celsius. That's 86 degrees Fahrenheit. So the cold water wash would be the Permanent Press or Delicate cycles.

Thanks for the info may need to rethink my packing plans. Was hoping to pack half as much and just do laundry.

What is the cost to run the washer for one load, and the dryer for 45 minutes?

Thanks. I know I will be doing laundry on our next cruise, just want to plan appropriately.
