I have a pair of the 1st croc flip flops and still love them. I also have another newer style too. My question is has anyone ever washed there croc in the washing machine? I want to spruce up my older pair.

They wash great in the washer with a load of towels. I have even left Jibbitz in them when I wash them without trouble.

I washed DS's in the washing machine. The first time it was an accident (the shoe was in his pant leg), but it worked so well that I ended up doing that when they needed to be cleaned.

I garden in a pair of mine and when I come in I just drop them in the washer with towels and they come out nice and clean. Just do NOT dry them in the dryer LOL I've heard they'll shrink.

Like the previous posts, I just drop mine in the washing machine. Never had a problem.

I loaded all our crocs (and imitation crocs for the kids) into the dishwasher. Just turn off the drying cycle.

I wash the entire family's crocs in the washing machine all the time. They come out looking like new....just remember to take them out before throwing the towels in dryer....lol. (my husband accidentally dried the DGD's mickey crocs. She cried when she saw them...)

I've washed mine before and they came out fine. If you want to add the shine back to them, you can use Armor All. Just don't get it on the soles or you will slip and slide;)

I've put my Crocs in the dishwasher, top rack. My DD has Birkenstock shoes for food service work (Crocs are similar to Birkies), and they go in the top rack all the time. Don't run the dry cycle.

I have never tried putting them in the washer. Neat!
My kids wear crocs and I wear Birkenstocks. I use a magic eraser to keep them looking clean.
But guess where the crocs going tomorrow??? Swimming!!!
Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the tip! Whenever our crocs have needed a bath we either go to scoutcamp (wear them in the shower, the floors are gross) or take the hose and dish soap to them. We will now send them thru the wash!

I was about to recommend ArmorAll after cleaning, but I see a pp beat me to it. It really does work!

And so much cheaper than that butter stuff they sell in the stores! I just spray some on a paper towel and go to town!

Yes, but don't wash them on hot, only warm or cold. I made that mistake one time and my DD's Mickey Crocs shrunk!

Well I tried the washing machine and they cleaned up okay.
Now I am not trying to clean old nasty crocs. They are 3 months old and cleaned every month.
They still have dirty spots on the shoe and the white band. I finished them up with my good old trusty Mr. Clean magic eraser.
I am going to pick up some armor all and see how that works later this weekend.

As PP have said, the washer works great. And if you find that your Crocs are a little stretched out then putting them in the dryer for a few minutes works great! Also if they are a little tight you can put them in the dryer and then pull on them to stretch them out. Just don't leave them in the dryer too long.

I think I have about 20 or so pairs of Crocs-funny thing is I just can't seem to throw them out when the bottom wears out. I use my dremel and make new grooves on the bottoms. I have noticed that some of my Cleo styles are getting compacted-not as comfy, long term, as they used to be. That's why I recently bought a new pair of the original Cleos from Shoebuy recently. That way I'll have a fresh pair for WDW in October. :goodvibes Wish they had more colors in Cleos I. I don't find the Cleo II as comfy.

disneydaz thanks for the Dremel tool hint. I wore my croc flip flops to the water park yeasterday and had to take them off because I was slipping on the wet cement all day. They are old and the bottoms are flat because I wear them all the time and wore the bottoms out.
I am getting out the dremel tomorrow because I just am not ready to toss them.

Be careful using the dremel, as the soles wearing out also makes them thinner. I had a pair that was worn out on the bottom and I stepped on a sharp rock outside. It went right through the bottom and into my foot! Hurt like the dickens and took a week to heal up! I recycled that pair right away. The Crocs store recycles them if anyone has any worn out ones.
