We just got back from a European trip. I never knew this, but I guess wash cloths aren't commonly available in a hotel room? We had to keep calling down to Housekeeping and while they graciously gave us some, they didn't replentish them daily. Every day when the room was serviced, there were none left. We had to hide them so that we'd have some.
Is this customary throughout Europe? I thought everyone used washclothes for showers, washing your face, etc. Is this strictly an American custom?
