Not arguing the point, because if people want to keep them they will. So I'm not getting this thread going in the direction of other "iffy" subjects.

But anyway, when asking WDW through an email what is right or what is wrong, isn't it simply just another CM answering a question? The only difference being there is printed proof of what this ONE CM said. I read all these threads saying well this CM said this and that CM said that, but asking via email isn't it the same thing? I am just really curious? :confused3 People seem to get different answers all the time from CM's, regardless if it's in person or on the phone, would it not be the same here?

Good point.

I know when we had our creation left on the bed, the mousekeeper knocked on our door and asked if we liked it and told us it was ours to take home. I didn't ask to take it, she told us to.

1) All housekeepers are trained how to make towel animals.
2) Some do it as normal course, most don't.
3) If you ask, you can usually get some.
4) Leave a request with a good DAILY tip, your chances improve.
5) Towel animals are never guaranteed.
6) YOU MAKE A REQUEST AND TAKE YOUR CHANCES.

What are considered the normal and GOOD tips for mousekeeping??? :confused3

I'm not sure what is "normal" but we tipped $5.00 per day for our family of 4. We stayed 8 nights/9 days at CBR. I don't think the tipping helped us get any towel animals. On our check-in day there was one waiting in the room &
on day 8 we got one. That was it.

WDW Guest Communications is charged with the responsibility for researching questions and getting the actual correct answer. Some folks have waited weeks while such research has gone one. It's subantantially different from asking some random CM, who's job is actually to clean, or serve, or operate an attraction, or monitor entry, etc.

Ok, thanks for the input. I have emailed them and still not gotten clear answers before (but not on this subject) that's why I questioned it, and still take what they email me back with a grain of salt.

We love the towel animals and hope we get some this time. But I'm only going to try asking on the envelope left for mousekeeping.

I'm really hung on the taking them home, especially if mousekeeping states in front of the family, it's your take it. I won't comment on what I would do, because it hasn't happened yet. But I'd be a liar if I said I hadn't taken one from the room, the year we did get them.
