Was this a bargain?

Have just booked our September holiday... :cool1:

We have paid £569 each staying at the Radisson Barcello on the I drive, that includes all taxes, inflight meal and transfer to and from the airport. I must say it is less that we paid for the Rodeway. Interested to hear what you think. Also we are flying with JMC as they are supposed to be better for leg room etc and have tv's on the back of the seats, has anyone used them before?

:cool1: :cool1:

I am sorry to tell you that the one time I flew with JMC, from Brazil - a 15 hour flight, back to Gatwick with a refuelling stop at Tobago, was the very worst flight of my life. The legroom was similar to most other charter airlines, and they did have seat back screen BUT the seats were exceptionally narrow, moulded to body shape but not MY body shape - or anybody elses as far as I could see - and it was terrible uncomfortable.

We seriously considered getting off the plane at Tobago and flying home scheduled - but they refused to let us off the plane for the 2 hours they took to refuel!!! In fact, they wouldn't even let us out of our seats!!! I wouldn't ever fly with them again after such an ordeal.

Your holiday does sound a bargain, but I would be wary of the flight.

Thats not good news as I paid £20 extra to fly with them as their seat pitch was slightly more than My Travel & Britannia. We flew with Britannia in April and to be honest the flight home was awful (maybe because we were tired) but it just seemed really squashed. I suppose unless I can afford schedule I shall have to grin & bear it. :sad2:

It sounds like a good deal, glad to see you are going again.

I think the flight home is always bad, going you are all excited and can cope with the flight, coming back you feel a bit depressed plus it is a night flight usually, so you feel like you have to sleep which is nigh on impossible on a plane.

Last time we came back, my DH had an extremely active two year old standing in front of him with a rubber hammer that he continually banged all over the place, absolute nightmare for DH.

This is one of the reasons we fly Upper class on VCirgin.
I can actually get a good nights sleep and am refreshed for the drive back to the midlands.
yes its expensive, but after one incident wher I got no sleep at all in Econ, and on the way back almost crashed the car, never again.

I would have paid for a upgrade but DH wouldn't have any of it, thought it was too expensive for the 4 of us. Still sometimes there are half price upgrades at the airport so I might be able to persuade him. DH, and the DS's could do with the extra leg room.

I've been with JMC but I paid extra to sit in the premium seats. So can't advise you on the ecomony seating. But I suppose they can't be any worse than any other airline. The price you got for your trip is very good.
